Great Wolf Lodge – Day 3 of 3
Back in July, we had the opportunity to visit Great Wolf Lodge in Grand Mound, Washington. It was so much fun and was a much needed vacation for our family! My son is still wearing his Great Wolf Lodge bracelet and won’t let me take it off (that’s a battle I’m not going to fight). We can’t wait to go back again!!
On Sunday morning, we enjoyed breakfast at the Loose Moose Cottage. We bought the All-You-Can-Eat Buffet and my kids enjoyed their “Great Shotz” Shakers (chocolate milk that they shake to mix together). They loved it! Our servers were hilarious and gave great customer service. The 3 of them were friends and 2 of them grew up together. They definitely helped us to have a great breakfast experience!
On our trip, we had the opportunity to experience the Paw Pass (for our 2 older kids). The Paw Pass is a great deal if you are planning on doing many of the activities separately. Our boys had a blast doing the activities on the Paw Pass. The Paw Pass includes the following activities:
– One Free “Color Your Own” Item at Cub Club (Tee Shirt or Pillow Case)
– One Free Animal at Animal Land
– Free Souvenir Sipper with Soft Drink at Snack Bar
– Free “Great Shotz” Shaker at Loose Moose Cottage
– One Free Admission to gr8_space (this is geared more towards preteens and teens and they have dance music at night)
– MagiQuest (One Free Wand and One Free Game)
– Jibbitz Workshop (One Free Pair of Crocs and Two Straps and One Free Jibbitz)On Saturday night, my kids had the opportunity to choose their own Croc and Jibbitz. Brian chose a Black pair with Batman Jibbitz and Dallen chose a Green pair with Blue’s Clues Jibbitz. They LOVED their new Crocs! We then went to Animal Land (right across from the Jibbitz Station) and the boys chose a Wolf from Animal Land. They got to watch as he was stuffed with stuffing and put a star in to personalize it!
On Sunday morning, after breakfast, we headed over to the Cub Club. The boys picked out shirts to color. I colored much of Dallen’s shirt, but Brian had a blast coloring his from start to finish. After playing a while in the Cub Club’s play area, Dallen was ready to color his shirt. They wear the shirts at home all the time. In the Cub Club, they also offer free activities, such as the craft of the day (they were cut out hands hanging up), coloring pages, and other free projects.
Next, we headed over to MagiQuest. My boys each picked out a wand and they set up the wand so that they could wave it at anything and the animal would talk or the wolf’s eyes would light up. They can set it up so your child can play the game, leading through Great Wolf Lodge on a sort of scavenger hunt. But with our kids being so young, they would quickly lose interest. So we had them set it up to wave at the different items throughout the lodge and activate them as many times as their hearts desired. This is definitely an activity that could last all weekend long, if not longer!
After using the wands around Great Wolf Lodge for a while, we decided it was time to head home! We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again for one of the holiday events. They have themed ones at Halloween and Christmas! Be sure to check out Great Wolf Lodge for your next family vacation.
A special shout out goes to Jennifer and John for making this trip possible. Also thanks to our great servers in Loose Moose Cottage! Hope to see you in December!
That looks wonderful. I am taking my daughter there for her 10th birthday next week. I am planning on getting the Paw Pass as her birthday gift. She is very excited about it. Thank you for having a great write up on the place. I am looking forward to having as much fun as your family had!
