Discount Dancewear
When you think about a dancer, you probably think about spinning, jumping, dipping, and the dancing, but you probably aren’t thinking about one of the most important things a dancer can have – good shoes! I found a company that sells Discount Dancewear for dancers everywhere! At Capezio, you’ll find footwear, bodywear, legwear, and accessories.
If you are a jazz dancer, there are probably certain types of shoes you wear for your dance routines. If a jazz dance performs a type of ballet jazz dance, he or she will probably wear ballet shoes. Ballet shoes are more like slippers. They are a closed toe shoe that slips on and off easily and doesn’t have any kind of heel on them. They are usually padded on the bottom and fit snugly so you don’t hear the dancer’s movements on stage.
A jazz or tap style dancer will wear a different type of shoe. The shoe is usually closed-toe with a small heel. It will have a harder toe box, which allows the dancer to “hit” their foot on the stage for added effect and not hurt his or her toes. For a tap dancer, the sole of the shoe typically has one or two metal plates attached. One metal plate may be found on the heel while the other is on the front sole. The metal plates are what make the “tapping” noise while the dancer is performing.
Jazz Shoes are not only popular for dancers, but are also becoming popular with drummers (inspired by legendary Rush drummer Neil Peart). The shoes are comfortable and versatil and allow the drummers to play the bass drum with more feel and freedom of motion and enables them to “dance on the pedals.”
You can find ballet shoes, jazz shoes, and more at Capezio Brands, one of the world’s largest suppliers of dancewear!
