REVIEW & GIVEAWAY – Safety Caps

I recently reviewed a product from a company called Safety Caps. Inventor George DeCell designed them after his daughter choked on a standard size outlet plug. He wanted a product to protect his daughter from the outlets as well as a plug that wouldn’t pose as a choking hazard for children.

The safety caps are clear, so they blend in with any color outlets. They are also wider than standard outlet plugs. They have air holes that are in compliance with the US Pacifier Regulations.

Safety Caps is currently having a sale – Buy 3 Packs and You Get 1 Free. The owner has offered to give the winner purchase 96 safety caps if he/she makes a purchase anytime between the start of the contest and the time it finishes. If you are interested in making a purchase, please enter HERE.

Safety Caps has also generously offered to give away a 24 pack of Safety Caps to one lucky blog reader!

  1. I hadn’t thought about a child choking on the normal safety caps, I love that these are big enough to prevent that, I will be getting these for my new granddaughters house

  2. I love that they are bigger than the standard sized ones, for less choking hazard and it’s an added benefit that they have holes set at pacifier standards! I need these!

  3. What a great product. They are so thoughtfully desogned! Many years ago when I was small, I stuck my finger into an outlet, and the shock is one of my earliest memories. Fortunately, that was the extent of the damage (unless I lost brain cells I don’t know about!)All who have preschoolers play in their home should get and use safety caps.

  4. I love the thoughtfulness of a safety item that is itself safe if picked up by a baby! Great idea, and thanks for the giveaway! I have lots of plugs to plug. 🙂

  5. I like that the plastic is designed to blend-in with any color outlet so that your kids and your guests won’t notice them.

  6. Designed to blend with outlet. Have to the same safety standards as those for pacifers which have airflow holes to prevent suffocation.
