Officially a Soccer Mom

Since becoming a mom, I have looked forward to the boys starting school and playing sports so I could get even more involved as their mom. Yes, I am one of those moms that is excited to join the PTA in a year.

We signed Brian up for Soccer starting in a few weeks. I found in one of the Sunday ads a soccer package on sale, which included cleats, shin guards, and a soccer ball. We fit his shoes and bought his soccer gear yesterday.

As soon as daddy came home, Brian showed him his treasures. He put on his socks, “chin guards” (that’s what he calls them), his cleats, and ran outside to kick the soccer ball around.

George looked at me and said, “You know…you are officially a soccer mom.” Silly at how happy I was when he said that and I realized that. I am a soccer mom 🙂
