A Day at Alki Beach
One of the well-known tourist hang-outs in Seattle is Alki Beach, located in West Seattle. Today, we decided to hang out with some friends at Alki Beach. The boys had a blast and we saw some very interesting people.
Brian was COVERED in sand. He would roll in the sand, pour sand over his head – basically sugar coat himself in sand. He loved it! Then his friend George would dump a bucket of water on him. Now, this isn’t WARM water – this is VERY COLD water! But Brian loved it and asked for more – silly boy!
Dallen was having a great time also. I couldn’t really get him to do anything for the camera. He was just busy exploring the rocks, water, his toys, and other families. He went and sat with another family and was talking to them. He wasn’t afraid to approach them at all – kind of like his daddy π It was really cute!
Then Brian used a piece of driftwood as a surfboarding. He said he was “Surfboarding” in the water.
Now, there are lots of interesting people who come to the beach, however, today there was one in particular. This woman must have been 80+ years old. She rode her bike onto the sand and parked it near a log near our families. Then she took out a baton and was throwing it, doing a dance, and catching it. I learned 2 very important things today. (1) DO NOT wear a bikini when you are 85 years old. (2) DO NOT get a boob job, because when you are 85 years old, everything but your chest will be sagging on your body. LOL Here is a pic and a little clip of her doing her twirling and dance (it’s a little shaky – sorry).
Baton twirling woman??? Sounds like fun! Wish I were there in the “Cold Water” with you guys! I miss you.
Key Key
Hmmmm, I think that could be the Venice Beach of Washington. I love that picture of Brian covered in sand. Too cute!
That lady is cracking me up! Good for her having so much confidence!
umm two words for you regarding the twirling woman …
UM FREAK! π
