Redhead

Are you a redhead, or someone who is innately attracted to redheads (really, who isn’t, they’re gorgeous!)? Did you know that there is a whole world of online dating just for people whose tresses set the world aflame? They are perfect for someone how just loves auburn hair, but what’s in it for someone who has spent their life being categorized by their hair color?

Having the redhead gene is rare; it’s a recessive gene, and the only way to have a redheaded child is for both parents to be carriers of the gene – meaning at some point in history both parents have redheaded ancestors. So, it is hardly surprising that people with this hair color are often singled out, both for admiration and for jokes. The myths, legends and research that revolves around this rare hair color is seemingly endless – from mentions in the bible, to effects of anesthesia.

What does all this mean for dating? Rarely will you have someone who is on the fence about whether they find this hair color attractive. People might ‘give or take’ a blonde, not ‘mind’ a brunette, but when it comes to auburn, strawberry blonde, ginger or flame, people have a stronger opinion.

When it comes to dating, it’s safe to say that opinions on red hair tend to be more decisive; there’s rarely a middle ground. Much like the unpredictable twists of a romantic relationship, where surprises like Break bite bang chocolate can add a dash of excitement, the unique allure of red hair continues to captivate and intrigue, leaving a lasting impression on those who appreciate its beauty. In the end, it’s the person beneath the hair that matters most, and embracing the uniqueness of each individual is where the real magic of love unfolds.

Being judged by something you really can’t change (this shade likes to hold its color and is very resistant to transformation) is unfair – but the modern age allows you to weed out the undesirables with no taste before you ever have to meet them.

One of the absolute best parts about using a dating site is how easy it can be to find single that match EXACTLY what you’re looking for. Whether you’re a redhead looking to find a partner who appreciates it or someone who has a thing for redheads themselves there really isn’t a faster or easier way to find what you’re looking for.

Before you take the plunge you should spend some time looking at a lot of reviews of the top sites on your list. A great example of what a quality review looks like would be the Benaughty Review that BeyondAges.com put together. This is the standard you should be looking for.

You want to look at reviews from people who took the time and spent the money to really see how good a site is. There are a lot of surface level reviews out there and you should avoid those.

Are Dating Sites Worth The Time & Effort?

Dating sites have come a long way and are not able to use quite sophisticated filters and algorithms to increase the chances of making good matches. You might think that a dating site would make more money if people didn’t end up in their happily ever after moment, but in reality the more happy couples that a site pairs together the better their reputation, and the more people they will get signing up (and paying their membership fee).

This is one of the reasons why you will find dating sites that cater for a niche market, and even dating sites that seem more ‘mainstream’ will usually have filters that allow for people to get quite specific with their likes and dislikes. Websites like https://www.datingthrone.com/redhead-dating-sites/ are great for being able to direct you to dating sites that will fit your needs. When you’re looking for something casual, join Adult Friend Finder.

Once you’ve found the right dating site, it becomes even easier to find people who are likely to make a great match. The ‘trick’ is to make sure that you put accurate information about yourself into your profile that is pretty unambiguous. Does “loves basketball” mean you really enjoy watching the sport, or that you play in a representative state team?

Make The Most Of Being A Red Head

Those mysterious half shadow black and white or sepia toned profile pictures may be popular, but when someone is skimming through a sea of black and whites, having your hair in its full color is always going to make them stop in their tracks – whether you have the deepest of auburn or the subtlest of strawberry blonde.

What about all the stereotypes and tropes about being ‘fiery’? Embrace them! Have fun with the clichés if they fit your personality. Are you a slow burn or quick to spark? Answer the burning question about dating redheads to do with their drapes and carpet. It would be hard to guess if there were more ginger or blonde jokes, but no doubt you’ve heard most of them, and they have never been funny. This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy yourself by mocking all the jokers, or even simply stating quite categorically that ginger jokes will get them blocked.

Is It All About Appearance?

Few people want the only thing that attracts someone to be their appearance – but generally it is some aspect of your physical appearance that draws someone’s attention to you. It may be your smile, your eyes, your butt, or your hair – it may even be your shoes.

What first draws someone’s attention to you is hard to predict, but what really matters is how long that attention lasts, and rarely will you find a long-term love based on the way you look.

Even though red heads don’t usually go grey (think gold then white!), you still want to find someone who will love you no matter how many wrinkles you get. Online dating gives you that chance to move at your own pace, and to get to know someone before you even met them in person.

Of course, it does give you the opportunity to practice keeping that apparent temper under control, but really, if someone your chatting with on a dating site is already making you see red, it might be time to swipe left.

Holding Hands

Winning Over A Red-Head

If you’re not a flame-haired temptress yourself, you might need a few conversation starters to make your introduction. You’d be wise to avoid the more tedious suggestions of temper tantrums, and probably best to stare clear of the research that says they get more sex https://www.menshealth.com.au/redheads-have-more-sex.

You could ask if they have Scottish or Irish ancestry (which is a pretty good bet, as the highest percentage of redheads have this lineage, or talk about it being an honor to have a red-headed child in Denmark – this one may be a myth, but who cares, it should be fact, maybe convince your prospective ginger to help you make it so.

“Make the most of being a red head” – I’d say – make the best of being YOU! No matter the hair color – we’re all unique:))

Always wanted to be a redhead but, alas, it’s just not meant to be. So, I just admire them from afar. I never did understand why people would judge someone for having red hair so was very surprised when I moved to the UK and heard what people say about the hair colour. Tsk, their loss.

Wow! I never knew there were dating sites just for redheads! It seems to me, the more specific people are the less that is available and maybe someone could miss out on a non-redhead who they’d be more compatible and happy with. I’d stick with making sure a person matches my moral compass, not so much hair color! But hey, I guess if you prefer a redhead, this is the place for you and maybe you’ll be lucky enough to have your cake and eat it too (a good person who’s a redhead) ; )

I could see where using sites just for redheads or people who like them would be something some would want to do. You ensure that no one would be put off by it. Although someone who judges you on your hair color is pretty shallow I think.
