Make More of Your Pictures with the Polaroid Originals Lab Printer at Best Buy
I love to capture memories with photos and today on Redhead Mom, I’m sharing about
the Polaroid Originals Lab Printer in partnership with Best Buy.
I’ve always loved taking photos and now I get to do it as part of my social influencer career. I loved taking photos ever since I was a little girl and I had the wind up camera with the flash that you would have to add on to the camera for brightness. I continued my love for photography through the film phase to the digital phase and now the digital to polaroid phase. That’s right! I always wanted a Polaroid camera, but never had one. Well now I can print out Polaroid photos from my phone with the Polaroid Originals Lab Printer.
You can find the Polaroid Originals Lab Printer at Best Buy. In your box, you’ll find your Polaroid Originals Lab Printer, a User Manual and a USB Charging Cable. Before you use your Polaroid Originals Lab Printer, you’ll want to charge it up first using the USB charger cable. Once it’s charged, you can start printing out your Polaroid pictures.
Get Started – Remove the cover from the platform. Turn the Polaroid Originals Lab Printer on by pressing the platform release button on the right side of the Lab. The phone platform will automatically lift into ready position. The rainbow LED will light up.
Load the Film – Now you need to load your film into the Polaroid Originals Lab Printer. You can use either Originals i-Type or 600 film (Color, Black & White and Special Editions). Gently pull down on the film door to open it. Insert the film pack with the dark side cover facing up.
Close the Film Door – The dark slide will eject automatically beneath the film shield. Lift the film shield and allow it to roll back up and then remove the dark slide.
Go From Digital to Polaroid – Now it’s time to turn your digital pictures into Polaroid pictures! Be sure you’ve downloaded the Polaroid Originals app. Once it’s downloaded, open it up and create a User account (or log in if you already have an account). Tap on the “Polaroid Lab” option. Before selecting your picture, be sure that both “True Tone” and “Night Shift” are turned off in your Settings Menu. Select the picture you want to use and follow the instructions.
Phone to Printer – Place your phone on the Polaroid Lab with the screen facing down. Ensure that your phone is aligned lengthways and the top of your phone is facing the top of the platform. Remove any screen protector or phone cover, as this can impair final results. The Polaroid Lab will detect your phone on the platform and the rainbow LED will blink slowly three times and then stay on. If the rainbow LED blinks rapidly, you’ll need to realign your phone. Once the blinking stops, press the red shutter button on the front of the Polaroid Lab.
It’s Polaroid Picture Time – Your photo will eject beneath the film shield. After five seconds, lift the film shield, allow it to retract into the Polaroid Lab and then gently remove your photo. Don’t shake or bend the photo. Shield it from light (in a pocket, or face down on a flat surface) until the image begins to emerge. Black and white photos take 5-10 minutes while color pictures take 10-15 minutes. Enjoy your Polaroid picture!

I have a manual polaroid camera and the films can add up to cost quite a bit. I also compiled albums of ‘snapspots of the day’ with them for a number of years. Quite interesting to look back. Love how this camera allows you to replicate just that!
