This partnered post discussing the alternative options to public water sources is from iPropertyManagement. Read below to learn more about public water sources and whole house water filtration systems.

Public water sources, sometimes not so affectionately referred to as city water, are known to be laced with contaminants and chemicals that are, in the long run, detrimental to human health. When a good deal of public water sources are found to contain these chemicals because they’ve been used to treat the water, many folks will be looking into alternative sources of pure, healthy drinking water to keep themselves, and their families, hydrated.

When looking into alternative water sources, most people will factor in different things such as cost and effectiveness into achieving the end goal: pure, untreated water for their families. Each source will have its pros and cons, but the end result will be the same, and will ultimately be much healthier for you and your family in the long run.

Several options exist for folks looking into getting away from city water, such as filtering the known bad chemicals out of the public water coming into their home through a whole house water filtration system, using well water, and drinking bottled water. Alternatively, they may also use water deionization tools which they can get from sites like https://airwaterice.com/collections/di-deionization. You may also consider using a DROP water system if you have water problems at home.

Let’s explore the pros and cons of each one, and with further research you will be able to decide the best path to follow to ensure your water is pure and healthy.

Filtering Out the Bad Stuff: Water Filtration Systems

While some folks may seek to completely cut ties with city water altogether, some folks may not have the extra money to spend on digging a well, while others will want to avoid constantly having to buy bottled water or jugs of drinking water when they run low.

If you are one who wishes to remain connected to city water but just want to make sure you are eliminating all of the detrimental chemicals and contaminants often found in it, a whole house water filtration system may be just what you’re looking for.

In addition, if anyone inhales Legionella bacteria, which causes the potentially fatal legionnaires disease, through water droplets or other water ingestion, it can cause Legionnaires disease, which can be very dangerous. You will need to hire a team of experienced legionella risk assessment professionals with a real passion for safety to conduct Legionella Prevention Strategies.

Whole house water filtration systems are made by a variety of companies, and are becoming more and more affordable to families everywhere. Features to look for in these systems can be found at knowledgeable sites like iPropertyManagement. The ability to keep the good minerals in the water while still removing the known detrimental contaminants is one feature that’s particularly beneficial.

Most of these systems are very easy for just about anyone to install, and some come with bonuses such as extra filters and cartridges. If completely disconnecting from city water is not really viable, one of these filtration systems may be the best options for you.

Nourishment From the Earth: Well Water

One of the best options to be completely self-sufficient with your water and truly make your water source yours is well water. It can be a great choice for anyone looking to get pure, untreated water straight from the Earth itself. Well water also brings with it several benefits that you won’t find in any other water source. Just a few of these benefits include:

Well water is healthier: Many folks don’t realize that when local water utility companies treat the public water for contaminants, they end up removing some of the healthy minerals from that same water. Well water is filtered naturally, and is packed by default with many nutrients and minerals that your body needs.

After the initial setup, well water is cheaper: Sure, hiring a well services contractor to dig a well can cost a decent sum of cash. The good news? After the well is dug and you have the proper infrastructure in place, you will never have to pay another water bill again. You will just need well pump services once in a while to properly maintain your well.

Well water is completely natural: This is obvious, but not something most folks think about. When you have your own well, you don’t have to worry about things like contaminants and chemicals, because you know exactly where your water is. It stays in your well until you turn on a faucet, and it doesn’t travel through miles of potentially old piping and city systems before it reaches you.

Convenient and Safe: Bottled Water

Bottled water is well-known and used by millions of people every single day. It is one of the most convenient ways to get your water, but can get a bit pricey if it is your main source of drinking water. The good news with bottled water is that it is safe and untreated, and highly portable.

Bottled water is an excellent option to have around for folks who exercise often; just grab a bottle on your way out to your jog or to the gym, and it will help you stay hydrated during your workout. It can also come in handy during times of natural disasters or big storms.

There are also many types of bottled water, some with different flavors to shake your taste buds up, and some with added minerals and electrolytes. Its convenience can even increase your water intake.

Staying Hydrated, No Matter Which Option is Best For You

Whether your main source of water comes from filtered public water, a well, or bottled water, it is important for your well-being and overall health to make sure you stay hydrated. Having access to pure, clean water is a basic human necessity, and you should always make sure to drink enough a day to keep your body in tip-top shape. You’ll feel great, and your body will thank you.
