I always joke that I celebrate National Half-Priced Chocolate Day, which falls the day after Valentine’s Day. I think it’s my favorite holiday!

Look for something special you can do together for free. It may be a walk in the park (weather permitting), a visit to a museum that doesn’t charge admission, a public concert. Just because you don’t have money doesn’t mean you can’t have a fun experience. It just takes a little searching online, a phone call to a local theatre to see if you can usher to earn a couple of tickets to a show, or browsing the events section of your local newspaper.
