Every year, I look forward to New Year’s Eve, but it also makes me feel anxious. Why anxious you ask? I know that with New Year’s comes Resolutions. I stopped making Resolutions a long time ago because I felt like I was setting myself up for failure. I would make plans and ultimately fail them within the first month or so. However, this year, I decided to make a New Year’s Resolution that I thought I would be able to keep, but would still be challenging at the same time.

Why do we make New Year’s Resolutions? I think the point of a New Year’s Resolution is to do something that improves our lives in the New Year. For me, my New Year’s Resolutions were to look for the positive (rather than focusing on the negative), get into better shape (by exercising more than I have in previous years) and by eating healthier (not necessarily cutting anything out, but eating healthier in general). While there may be moments when I “slip up,” I know that it doesn’t mean the end of the New Year’s Resolution I made.

As I mentioned, I made a New Year’s Resolution to eat healthier in 2019. As an adult, I enjoy drinking beer, but there can be a lot of calories in a beer. I also love to drink coffee and bake, but that can also be a lot of calories. When I headed to Walmart, I decided to change up my shopping game and opted for Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold for my beer and the Splenda Naturals 80ct Box for baking and coffee. I also used to make breakfast shakes in the morning and was excited to try out the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey Protein Powder in Vanilla Ice Cream Flavor. I also received the Amino Energy Supplement and Protein Crisp bars from Optimum Nutrition to add to my healthier eating routine. Now, let’s talk about these products.

Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold

As I was looking for a beer that would give me that refreshing beer taste without having to feel guilty, I found Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold. This beer is made with organic grains and only has 2.5 carbs and 85 calories. Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold is triple filtered and brewed free of artificial colors and flavors, plus this light lager has a superior golden taste. Remember to enjoy responsibly. For more information and promotions about Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold, be sure to follow them on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter.

  1. I’m so thankful to have found your words this morning. Often my best laid plans are de-railed by a phone call or a jolt from memory about something I’ve forgotten to do. You are pure inspiration.

  7. I have yet to try this beer! I keep meaning to get some when I’m at the store. This weekend I will grab some. I stopped calling them resolutions years ago, and just started referring to them as goals, with smaller goals to achieve towards the overall objective. It made me more focused.

  8. These are awesome! Would love to be healthier this 2019.

  9. Brianne says:

I cannot wait to try this beer with my husband! We’re both into counting carbs, and this feels like a guilt-free beer.

  10. Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold seems like a good beer. I haven’t tried it. I hope I can try it soon.

  11. I LOVE BEER, like, LOOOOOOVE beer, but I had an injury that kept me from work and I noticed I immediately got a beer belly so I went keto. I dropped the weight right away but not having beer is the biggest struggle because I love the flavor. I tried Michelobe…I just can’t get into it. I use swerve baking while keto. It’s nice to have options.

  12. Lora Frost says:

New Years resolutions are always daunting to me. Looks like you are on a great path for the year. Thanks for the product suggestions I will be sure to check them out.

  13. These are fun resolutions! I never really make them myself, but I should start! It’s a great idea in general to set new goals, or change bad habits.

  16. Kristine Nicole Alessandra says:

I don’t do New Year’s Resolutions for the reason that I believe resolutions are like saying “finding solutions to a problem.” I make short term goals instead. My short term goals for the first quarter of the year is to stay illness free for 3 months. I now only use natural sweeteners in my coffee. I still have to make another set of short term goals for the next quarter of this year. Wishing you all the best in your 2019 resolutions.
