Disney Fashion and Accessories Inspired by the International Day of the Girl #DreamBigPrincess

Today, October 11th, is International Day of the Girl! In celebration of International Day of the Girl — a day that recognizes girls‘ rights and the unique challenges girls face around the world — Disney Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products has once again partnered with the United Nations and Girl Up for the Dream Big, Princess campaign, to unveil a new global video series offering advice and inspiration on achieving success to kids around the globe. In conjunction with Dream Big, Princess, they have also curated a collection of select consumer products that reflect and recognize the inspiration and power behind the International Day of the Girl.

When did International Day of the Girl start? On December 19, 2011, United Nations General Assembly adopted Resolution 66/170 to declare October 11 as the International Day of the Girl. The International Day of the Girl Child focuses attention on the need to address the challenges girls face and to promote girls’ empowerment and the fulfillment of their human rights. I LOVE that they have established this as an International Day promoting girls and the things they can accomplish in life!
