Back in January of 2017, I had the opportunity to attend CES and while there, I was introduced to the 3M Respiratory Tracker. The brand was still in the development stage, but I was excited to learn that there was a piece of technology being developed that could help with promote healthy breathing habits! Guess what? The 3MRespiratory Tracker is coming soon!!

Why the 3M™ Respiratory Tracker? With this piece of technology, you can take control of your health with the help of a smart companion who can offer personalized insights and promote healthy breathing habits which, as part of a healthy lifestyle, may help you manage your asthma and allergies. With a sleek design, the 3MRespiratory Tracker can be worn out of sight. Paired with the app, it offers personalized tips and insights around unique sets of triggers and sensitivities.

Features of the 3MRespiratory Tracker

1 – Track – The 3MRespiratory Tracker is a tool that can help you to log, track and trend your breathing quality, in various environments and locations. When the tracker detects changes to breathing, you are prompted to input possible respiratory symptoms and triggers which will then be tracked. You will also be able to track your rescue inhaler use.

2 – Discover – Discover which triggers may be associated with your breathing difficulties by tracking and trending your breathing quality and environment over time.

3 – Understand – Everybody’s triggers are different. Understand how the environmental triggers in your location could impact your breathing with a personalized trigger forecast.

4 – Be Empowered – Take control of your health with the help of a smart companion who can offer personalized insights and promote healthy breathing habits which, as part of a healthy lifestyle, may help you manage your respiratory health.

While the 3MRespiratory Tracker is not available quite yet, it did launch in the beta phase via the crowdfunding platform, Indiegogo. It will be available to ship in Spring 2019 – woo hoo! The app paired with the 3MRespiratory Tracker will be available for use on mobile devices.

The 3MRespiratory Tracker is definitely a great device to have, especially if you have members of your family with asthma, allergies or other breathing conditions. I love how sleek the design is, making it easy to wear. Plus the fact that you can monitor it via an app on your phone makes it ideal for everyday use. I can’t wait to check it out when it’s released in 2019!

As an asthma and allergy family I’d like to try this tracker. Our son’s symptoms have improved a lot over the last two years, but you never know when he can be triggered to have a breathing issue.
