Our oldest daughter just finished her junior year in high school and in May she went to her Junior/Senior Prom with her boyfriend. I was really excited because that meant I could take her prom dress shopping, as well as do her hair and makeup for the dance. Teah is very artistic and didn’t want just any prom dress. She wanted a dress that fit her style, personality and artistic side. She started out by looking at cute short dresses for prom online and had an idea of what she wanted in a dress. Then we headed to Macy’s to see what they had. We found both the dress and shoes and she looked gorgeous in them!

Macy’s has some great sales and we were in luck because not only was the dress gorgeous, but it was also on sale! Her dance was the next Friday and we found out that the store was having a pre-sale and if we picked up the dress on Wednesday, we’d save an additional 20%. Overall, we ended up spending about $120 on the dress and shoes. Not too bad, right?!!

Teah was so excited to get her hair and makeup done, as well as put on her dress, shoes and wrist corsage that we purchased from our local Vons. We also purchased a matching boutonniere for her boyfriend.  The corsage was so pretty too! The corsage had pearls for the wrist bracelet part and then roses, pretty pink and white filler flowers, and then pink ribbon.

Teah had a great time at her prom and received a lot of compliments on her dress. She looked beautiful and the dress was perfect for her style and personality! I can’t wait for next year’s dress shopping adventure!!!

When I shared pictures of her dress on social media, I received a bunch of comments addressing how cute the dress was. There were even a few people who headed to their local Macy’s and purchased the dresses for their daughters as well!

Where did you find your daughter’s prom dress?
