Growing up, I was constantly teased for my red hair, fair skin and freckles. Being unique and different in my eyes as a kid was a negative thing. Who knew that what I perceived as negative would actually be something that sets me apart from others and makes me special. Now that I’m a mother and have gone through some of life’s challenges, I find that those things that make me unique actually make me stand out among everyone else, which is a positive thing! Not only do I still have the red hair, fair skin and freckles, but I now love showing off my different piercings! It is something I love to share on my social media channels, as well as my blog! In fact, I just recently shared a blog post about my Forward Helix Piercing I got from Club Tattoo in Las Vegas.

In 2017, my husband and I visited Las Vegas a few times and on each of those trips, I added different piercings (a total of 3). The first piercing I got was the Forward Helix Piercing. The second one (what this blog post is about) is my Nose Piercing. My third one (to come soon) is my Daith Piercing, which is one of my favorites! Honestly, I never thought I would step foot into a tattoo shop before. And then I did. And it wasn’t that bad! In fact, the staff with all their piercings and tattoos were some of the friendliest artists and customer service reps I’ve dealt with! It was such a positive experience that I found myself visiting not once or twice, but three times (and possibly more in the future when we go back to Vegas). Next visit, we might try our luck at the casino playing เข้าสู่ระบบยูฟ่าเบท.

I never honestly thought about getting a nose piercing until I watched Kaitlyn Bristowe from “The Bachelorette.” I loved how pretty and feminine (as well as unique) the nose piercing looked on her. I was ready to get another piercing and the one I wanted was a nose piercing. I was nervous, but excited at the same time. I made sure I had the same piercer I had before (thank you so much Michael – you rock!) and it was just as good piercing experience with him as it was the first time. In fact, I even returned to him a third time for my daith piercing (coming soon to the blog).

Like my other piercing, it was late at night and was actually after the Britney show! I was excited, but also nervous, as I’ve been with all of my piercings. However, Michael (who did my other piercings) did a great job explaining the process and distracting me, which made it a great experience. It was done quickly and looked gorgeous when it was done! I will say this….my eyes watered like crazy! Michael said this is a normal thing. I learned that the nose is soft and sensitive and that the nasal passage is connected to the eyes via the tear ducts, which is why it watered so much. Eyes watering with a nose piercing is a NORMAL thing and happens to a lot of people. Don’t worry…it won’t last long and your gorgeous nose piercing is totally worth it!

It definitely took some research, messaging to Michael and texting friends to figure out how to clean the piercing, but I did figure it out. You want to be sure to clean your piercing (both inside and outside) with a saline solution to keep it clean. What I eventually figured out (didn’t take too long) was that using a wet q-tip helped to clean those pesky nose boogies up (yes…I am admitting that I get nose boogies and they are a pain in the a$$, but they can be handled).

I love my piercing and am so glad I got it done! I love all the bling I have – from my wedding ring to my earrings to my nose ring. They are part of what make me, the Redhead Mom, unique, special and beautiful!

Yes I have had a nose piercing for several years and love it.
    What is a Daith piercing?
Oops guess I could google it.
Just did and I like that also.
I am still thinking about another pierce but undecided about what.
    Yes piercings are fun!

    • Shannon Gurnee says:

I love the Daith Piercings! I would have loved to get the helix piercings (on the outside cartilage), but my piercer said the cartilage was too thick and wouldn’t work. But I love the piercings I have had done so far!

  2. GiGi Eats says:

Ha! Girl, you just keep on piercing!! What’s next?! 😉

  3. Susan Smith says:

My eyes started to water just watching you get the piercing. The only piercing I have is the holes in my earlobes that I got when I was 13.

  4. Stacie says:

I love it! I’m THIS close to getting another piercing in my ear (as I commented before). You just keep giving me more inspiration.

  5. Bill Sweeney says:

I personally don’t have any piercings. My wife does, just her ears. I’d be interested to see her reaction if I suggested she get her nose pierced!

  6. Kim Croisant says:

Only my ears dear. My nose would be next, but nothing else. I love your nose pierced.

  7. Jeanine says:

It looks amazing on you! Once upon a time ago I had one too (and a bellybutton ring, and tongue!) I actually miss mine.

  8. Sarah Bailey says:

Oh it really suits you! I only have my ears done, but I have sometimes wondered about having something else pierced but never actually gone and done it.

  9. This is so pretty and discrete! It looks great on you. And your hair? A complete envy.

  10. Brandy says:

Ha! I got my nose pierced too recently. I love it! I went with a hoop because I was so afraid it was going to swell, and it didn’t. I think your little gem looks great!

  11. Amber Myers says:

You look fabulous! Go you! I’d probably be too nervous to get this. I don’t have any piercings because I’m a wimp.

    • Merari says:

I just got my nose done 3days ago and feel no pain whatsoever today. I love it! Go for it…it looks way more painful than it is. Its quick and really sore just that night after and a little in the morning; once you clean well, the next day its all good! I already forget its even there! Love it and would do a 2nd to have a tiny diamond abd a tiny hoop next to it.🥰

  12. Shell says:

I like how it looks on you! My allergies won’t let me get a nose piercing, unfortunately.

  13. Peter says:

I’m waiting for my girls to want theirs done.gonna have to show them your vid

  16. Rachel says:

Ok! Thank you for being my piercing twin. I have had my nose done for 9 years now and love it. I am seriously considering the forward helix and I love that you have a hoop in yours. I am also debating the daith or the rook.

  17. Heather says:

The nose ring suits you and looks great with your red hair. If I got a piercing that was different than my ears it would be something like this.

  18. ROsey says:

It looks really cute. How fun that you got it!! My daughter has one too.

  19. Lisa Favre says:

It really, really suits you! I always loved the look of them, but I just know that I can’t pull it off. You certainly do, though!

  20. Ricci says:

I love nose piercing on other people, I don’t think I could do it! Yours is so dainty and cute!!

  21. Leigh Anne Borders says:

I do not think it is for me, but I truly see how cute it is on you! My son’s girlfriend has one as well. It looks nice on her too. Sometimes we just got to do the things we want to do. I told my husband that one day I was going to dye my hair a fun color–and I still plan to do that one day!

  22. I have been contemplating another piercing the last several months. My daughter wants to take me. I just have to get a gold piercing and get permission from my rheumatologist first.

  23. sara says:

Your nose piercing came out so cute! And I love your red hair, it looks perfect on you. I have heard so many great things about the Daith piercing.

  24. Reesa Lewandowski says:

I love it! It suits you so well!!! Kudos to you for being so brave!

  25. I love your nose piercing. It looks great on you. I’m glad you were able to use the same piercer both times and that he made you feel comfortable.

  26. Denise C says:

I have never been big into piercings, so I just have the ordinary one hole in each ear. Since having kids, I hardly even make use of those anymore because I’m always in such a rush!

  27. brianne says:

How cute are you! It looks amazing on you! I always loved how nose rings look on people!

  28. That nose piercing looks great! Very nice and pretty! I don’t know if I would have the courage to do it!

  29. Kathy says:

I had my nose pierced years ago, but sadly I took mine out. I would love to get mine done again though. It was one of my favorite piercings. I use to have a lot, but took many of them out.

  30. Mary Edwards says:

I think yours looks amazing!! It’s not something I would ever do…but I totally think it’s so cute on others. My daughter wants on…I’m making her wait til she’s 18 (mean mom) 🙂

  31. Kiwi says:

Yup your eyes got that involuntary eye watering like I did when it went through. Its like one tear drop, I got mine done twice its apart of me. It looks good one you!

  32. Trina says:

Love it! I had mine pierces a while back but had to take it out when I had a really bad virus. I have thought about piercing it again, maybe one day soon 🙂

  33. Sara Welch says:

That looks so cute girl! I really wouldn’t mind to do mine either!

You are really unique! I love your red hair and your nose piercing!

You are so brave and I admire you for that. I don’t think I’ll ever have the guts to have a nose piercing. LOL.

  38. Terra Heck says:

You look fantastic in that last picture! I think a nose piercing like that looks good. My brother pierced my nose once….with an earring gun. Learned my lesson the hard way not to do that!

  39. Tracy R. says:

Just got my nose pierced a month ago – I absolutely love it!!! Wish I would have done it sooner!
