Give the Gift of Old Spice This Holiday Season

With teen boys in our home, we are very familiar with the Old Spice brand. As a mother (and the primary grocery shopper in our home), I always have a steady supply of Old Spice deodorants, body washes and hair products on hand. Are you familiar with Isaiah Mustafah? He is “the guy on the horse” that you see in the Old Spice commercials on tv. The other day, I had the opportunity to interview him and found that he was a super sweet guy! Old Spice has come out with some new packages (perfect for the holidays) and even socks with Isaiah on them!

Not only do I love how Old Spice products smell, but I also love the price point on their products! They are super affordable and come in cute gift sets, which are perfect for holiday stocking stuffers or gifts under the tree. In fact, the Old Spice gift packs are all under $15.

When talking with Isaiah, I asked him what gifts he would recommend for the guys in our home (kids, teens, and husband). For the teens, he highly recommended the Old Spice hair products (i.e. pomade) and said the scents of Swagger and Unruly were really good. He loves that these hair products fit perfectly into a stocking. Plus, at this age, the teen boys will likely find a product they love and use it for life. For the younger guys, he recommended the gift sets, which include the body wash and socks. For my husband, he recommended the gift packs as well. As Isaiah put it, all men need socks and these red and white socks with a guy on a horse are pretty hard to lose! Ha ha! I asked Isaiah how it felt to be pictured on a pair of socks and he said that it was interesting. He also said it was different because he never imagined being on a pair of socks, but thinks it’s an honor. I definitely want to check out these “Socks for Your Manly Man Feet.”

As we went through out interview, I also asked him what his favorite Old Spice scents were. He said that he loves Hawkridge because it has a tame, more masculine smell (while a lot of the other scents have a sporty smell). He loves the smooth smell of Hawkridge, saying it’s like a manly businessman’s smell.

Isaiah Mustafah was also named as one of 2017’s Sexiest Men Alive by People magazine. When I asked him how that made him feel to be named that, he responded that it was an honor and that he never that would happen in his life. Also be sure to check him out in the Freeform series, “Shadowhunters,” where he plays Luke Garroway. He mentioned that being the Old Spice guy has really helped with the characterization in this show. Being a werewolf, you need to be pretty manly. He also mentioned that Wolfborn is a scent with Old Spice.
