This is a sponsored post with Pelican Water Systems. All opinions are mine.

As I get older, I hear about all the things I need to do to stay healthy. These include eating the right foods, exercising, getting enough sleep, and drinking enough water. One of the things I have a hard time doing is drinking enough water and when I don’t, I can definitely feel it. So how much water should I drink and why is it so hard to drink enough water? I mean it seems like an easy enough thing to do, right? One reason is that sometimes the water doesn’t taste good and another is that I simply forget to. So how do I increase my water intake? Check out these 4 Ways to Increase Water Intake.

4 Ways to Increase Water Intake

1 – Carry a water bottle. One way that I find that I drink more water is by always having water with me. Once I finish it, I refill it with our filtered water from home.

2 – Set a reminder on your phone. Often times, I set reminders on my phone to remind me of doctor appointments, conference calls, and even tweet reminders. A great way to remember to drink water is by setting a reminder on your phone.

3 – Eat your water. Drinking water isn’t the only way to increase water intake. Foods that are high in water content include tomatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, spinach, green peppers, celery, and cauliflower. How does a Cucumber and Tomato Salad sound? Yummy!

4 – Filter your water for good-tasting water. There are many families that don’t keep a steady supply of water bottles (it can get expensive) or don’t have refrigerators with water filters (those can be expensive). And we all know that drinking water that doesn’t taste good doesn’t make you want to drink more, right? That’s where the Pelican 3-Stage Under-Counter Drinking Water Filter comes into play. In addition, homeowners may also invest in a Water Tank Mixing Unit and hire professional plumbers to install water softener systems. Those who want to have their own water supply may build a water well with well pumps.
