I remember when I was a little girl and spent countless hours playing with Paper Dolls. My sisters and I enjoyed playing with the paper dolls together and comparing our outfits and different looks. As soon as I saw Paper Poppets, I immediately went back to those fond childhood memories I had of dressing up paper dolls. This is definitely a cute gift idea…for all year long!!!

When my niece came over to visit one day after school, she was saying that she was bored. Since the paper dolls were something I enjoyed as a kid, I figured she would enjoy them as well….and I was right! While she did need help pushing out the paper dolls and the paper outfits from their perforated papers, she did NOT need help playing with them and switching outfits. She even liked changing the leashes and outfits for the paper dogs!

Who Created Paper Poppets

Paper Poppets was created by Gina Lannen – mother of three, former toy executive, and current toy entrepreneur and creator of Paper Poppets. What she’s done is taken classic paper dolls and made them modern and cool with beautiful character illustrations and fun, chic fashions. Ava, Maddy, Willow, and Tomiko – each pretty Poppet pal has a unique personality, story and relationship to the others.

The Mission of Paper Poppets

Their mission is to help girls of all ages build their imagination and self-expression so they can showcase creativity and empower their inner-storyteller. They build a perfectly, posh paper world where girls can imagine, design and play like nobody’s watching!

At Paper Poppets, they believe the best toys are timeless. Paper dolls have been around since paper has existed and for thousands of years, girls all over the world have embraced the act of cutting, coloring and folding their own personalized paper pals. Part of the goal is to honor the past by designing toys that slow us down and bring us back to a simpler time when play was fueled by imagination and not by batteries.

Paper Poppets Story & Activity Set

The Paper Poppets Story & Activity Set is an awesome set and I had a blast playing with the paper dolls and changing their outfits with my niece. I know that she loved it and was even more excited when she saw the pocket in the back of the book that would store her paper dolls and all of their new outfits! She also loved that the paper dolls and dogs came with 3 different sheets of outfits for Maddy and Ava (the girls), as well as Otto and Buddy (the dogs).
