It’s hard to believe that summer is coming to an end and the kids are gonna be going back to school soon. We had a good summer with the kids and while we know summer can’t last forever, it’s time to face reality and get ready to go back to school. The start of the school year also means it’s time to start packing the kids’ lunches again! While our kids like to eat pizza at school sometimes, they prefer taking school lunches from home on a regular basis. With that comes figuring out what should be packed in their lunches! Not to mention the added challenge of kids with different tastebuds and food preferences. Yoplait helps to make lunch packing super quick and easy.

5 Tips for Packing School Lunches

1 – Get the lunch gear ready. Decide whether your kids will be taking reusable lunch boxes, paper bags, plastic bags or a container to carry their lunches in. We prefer to use the reusable lunch boxes in our family as they are durable, easy to clean and have an insulated interior. Plus, they can choose from different colors and designs.

2 – Include a main food item. Our kids usually like sandwiches, which can include peanut butter and jelly, chicken salad, or meat and cheese. You may also want to include sliced cheese and crackers for the main food item.

3 – Freeze drinks. I don’t know about your kids, but our kids are in classes for about 4 or 5 hours before it’s time for lunch. A great way to keep food cool and fresh in their lunch boxes is by either adding in a freezer pack or freezing the drink and putting it in the lunch box. By the time it’s lunch, the drink will be defrosted and nice and cold.

4 – Pack non-messy snacks. Our kids love snacking, so I make sure to include snacks that won’t melt (i.e. chocolate). They love crackers, string cheese, fruit snacks and fresh fruit or veggies.

5 – Don’t forget the yogurt. Our kids all enjoy eating yogurt and their favorite brand is Yoplait. They like the flavors of Yoplait, as well as how easy and fun it is to eat out of the container.

The other day I was in Walmart and was making my regular purchase of Yoplait Yogurts for our family when I noticed the NEW Yoplait Multipacks. Not only do they make it easier to buy (such as grabbing a box with multiple yogurts instead of balancing them in the grocery cart), but I think they fit in the lunch boxes a lot better!

At Walmart, I found a variety of flavors in the Yoplait Multipacks! They had Strawberry, Strawberry with Harvest Peach, Strawberry with Strawberry Banana, Strawberry with Mixed Berry, and Strawberry with Orange Creme. The 8-packs retailed for $3.98 per package. Not too bad price point wise either. When I got home, the Yoplait Multipacks easily fit and stacked in our refrigerator. I’m impressed!

I like the new packaging for the Yoplait Multipacks! The new design includes a box with an open top to easily see when you need to stock up again and shows off which flavors are left in the box. These new multipacks are perfect for back-to-school and our kids’ lunches. Plus, I don’t have to depend on the kids tell me when we’re out of yogurt because I can easily see for myself.

We are definitely fans of Yoplait and I’m so excited the brand has come out with these new Multipacks. They are perfect for school lunches, as well as snacks during the day and for traveling. Be sure to pick up your favorite flavors at Walmart.

What is your favorite flavor of the Yoplait Multipacks?
