I love the holidays and everything about them! It all starts with Thanksgiving. On this day, we start cooking early in the morning (sometimes even the day before). Throughout the day, we snack on different appetizers and visit with family and friends. The day ends eating a lot of amazing food, loosening your pants and relaxing after a big meal. Sometimes with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, our pets get pushed to the background. They don’t get all the love and attention they normally would. It’s not because we don’t love them, but rather because the day gets away from us with all the busy activities going on.

Our pets are just as important as all the members in the family and we don’t want them to feel forgotten during the holidays. So let’s make it a goal to include them in our holiday activities! Here are 3 ways to include your pets during the holidays:

1 – Fun toy. Our pets love to play with toys, right? Whether it’s a plush toy, a squeaky toy, or something to chew on – who doesn’t like a new toy? We gave the dogs a cute squeaky toy in the shape of a turkey leg (thank you Beneful) and they love it!

2 – Yummy food. We’ve partnered with Beneful over the past year and our dogs have loved their products! They’ve enjoyed the varieties of wet food and dog food, as well as a variety of dog treats! With Beneful, you’ll find 8 varieties of dry dog food, 20 varieties of wet dog food, and 9 varieties of dog treats. Not only are Beneful products easy to find (i.e. you don’t have to special order), but they’re designed for your dog‘s specific type and size! Plus, real beef or chicken is now their #1 ingredient (with no added sugar).

3 – Dinner time. How many times has your pet sat next to your dining table, anxiously awaiting a stray piece of food to fall from the table to the floor? Why not give your pet a special meal at dinner time as well? As mentioned above, Beneful products are a great option. Set up your pet‘s dish filled with food at the same time everyone else eats and enjoy your holiday meal as a family!

4 – Lots of cuddle time. Knowing that the holidays can be busy, be sure to make your pet feel special and include lots of cuddle time for him or her. Trust me, your pet will appreciate it and thank you with lots of nuzzles and kisses!

I love this! Of course our furry friends need to be included in our holiday fun! One of my favorite things to do is put together stockings and either put doggie treats in the bottom or cat nip and let them get all excited over the smell. They go crazy opening the stockings every year, lol.
