Putting Together Homemade Halloween Costumes
I love that our kids still love to dress up for Halloween. While the idea of trick or treating is fading away, the excitement of dressing up in costume remains the same. This year, we had the Judge (from Off), the Batter (from Off), Star-Lord (from Guardians of the Galaxy), a Robot, Harry Potter, and a Star Wars Flame Trooper. In the picture below was my niece who was Dorothy from Wizard of Oz. Here is how we put together our Homemade Halloween Costumes.
The Judge from Off – I personally don’t really know what Off is, but our daughters like it and wanted to be some of the characters from it. To create the Judge from Off costume, you need the following items: Cat Ear Headband, White Yoga Leggings, Black Bowtie, Formal Vest, Bowtie, Tie, Pocket Square (4 Piece Set), Black makeup crayon for nose, and black shoes.
The Batter from Off – For the Batter from Off costume, you need the following items: The Lovely Women Pin Striped Solid V-Neck 3/4 Sleeve Tunic Baseball Tee Shirt Raglan Top, Wilson Sporting Goods Deluxe Adult Poly Warp Knit Pinstrip Baseball Pant, Baseball Over the Calf Team Athletic Performance Socks, and Plain Baseball Cap Velcro Adjustable Curved Visor Hat.
Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy – Our kids love Guardians of the Galaxy and our son was really proud of his Star-Lord costume. Here is what you need for the Star-Lord costume: WenVen Men’s Winter Fashion Faux Leather Jackets, jeans, black shirt, belt, and mask. Our son made his mask using cardboard, duct tape and markers.
Robot – For our son’s Robot costume, we ordered it online and it came as a costume kit. Our son enjoyed wearing it for Halloween and it was easy to put together. Although, it was a little challenging to attach it in the back.
Harry Potter – Our son is a huge Harry Potter Fan and his best friend and him decided they wanted to wear matching Harry Potter costumes. For the homemade Harry Potter costume, you need the following items: Harry Potter Deluxe Costume Set, Eye Glasses (which he has naturally), and a Wand.
Star Wars Shock Trooper – Our son loves Star Wars and was super excited to be a Flame Trooper for Halloween. Unfortunately, after ordering from Amazon, we realized it was too small. Thank goodness for Party City, where we found Star Wars Shock Trooper costume in his size. To go with it, we found the following items: Star Wars: The Force Awakens Child’s Flametrooper Costume Gloves, Star Wars: The Force Awakens Child’s Flametrooper 2-Piece Helmet,
The kids were excited about putting together their homemade Halloween costumes and then showing them off to family and friends! I can’t wait to see what they’ll be next year.
