Both my mom and mother-in-law celebrate their birthdays in August, so at the end of the summer, my husband and I decided to take them on a birthday trip to Laughlin, Nevada. While we stayed at a hotel in Laughlin, we made the long trip in our RV. On our RV road trip was my husband, my sister, my mom, my mother-in-law and me. I love being able to travel for 7 or 7 1/2 hours in the RV because not only do we have a tv, sink and refrigerator, but we also have a bathroom on board! Woo hoo!

I had never been to Laughlin before, so I was really excited about this trip as well. It was so much fun! My husband was a trooper driving and listening to all kinds of birthing stories and more (ya know – what women talk about when there is a lot of time to kill – ha ha)! We also had a lot of fun playing games on our iPads and phones and listening to music!

When we got to Laughlin, it was pretty late. We checked into our rooms at Harrah’s and played Mahjong slot a little bit. The next day, we woke up and enjoyed brunch at one of the restaurants inside the hotel. After eating, we decided to go and explore Laughlin. We took the hotel shuttle to another casino where we could play BINGO because they didn’t have BINGO at Harrah’s. Ok, so I haven’t played BINGO since I was a kid (and that kind didn’t cost money), so I was a little nervous and excited at the same time. Did you know that you can play BINGO either on paper or on a computer? The computer one is awesome because it’s a no-brainer. Like it literally tells you when you’re one away from BINGO and then tells you when to yell BINGO. While none of us won, it was a lot of fun!

After BINGO, Frank found a water taxi we for us to take back to our hotel. It was a fun little boat ride and was very affordable. The river was pretty and a lot more choppy than I thought it would be. I definitely would love to ride jet skis the next time we go to Laughlin, as well as check out some of the other land activities they have there.

After exploring Laughlin a little bit, we decided to head back to the room and relax a bit. We met up for dinner later that night and enjoyed the buffet they had at Harrah’s. It was a really nice buffet. I wish I would have taken pictures, but I was so hungry that all I was thinking about was eating steak and other goodies. I would definitely eat there again.

After dinner, we played some more in the casino. I liked their card tables, but they were definitely older looking than the ones I’m used to in Vegas. It was all part of the Laughlin atmosphere though. If you like to play in online casinos, I would highly recommend getting a Total Rewards card. You earn points based on your casino play in addition to other benefits. You can visit this website for more information.

Before heading to Laughlin, I had mentioned going to see Chippendales while we were there because they were performing at Harrah’s. We didn’t buy tickets until literally right before they started their last show of the night because I couldn’t get everyone on board. The night of their last performance and right before the show, all 4 of us girls were on board and excited to see them on stage! It was totally a last minute purchase, but a good one! I mean come on – the tickets were only $35.25 (plus a fee and tax) in Laughlin, while normally they cost around $70 or $80 in Vegas, plus it was like seeing Magic Mike in person – seriously!! Afterwards, we took pictures with the cast (for a nominal fee – $20 per person), but it was worth it because I had it to share with you here on my blog.

I enjoyed our trip to Laughlin and would definitely go to visit again in the future. I would definitely want to do some more of the water activities and land activities you can do there. It was a great road trip and I think we all had fun on the trip!
