My First Sephora VIB Rouge Event & Sephora Fall 2016 Launch + Giveaway!!!
One of my favorite stores to shop at (other than Alex & Ani, Bath & Body Works, and Victoria’s Secret) is Sephora!! In fact, I try to share about my purchases as often as I can on my social media channels (and am working on sharing more often on The Mommy-Files). Last year, I became a member of VIB Rouge, which means I like to shop A LOT at Sephora. There are some great perks, including makeup classes, FREE 2-day shipping (I really love this) and special discounts and events throughout the year! A few weeks ago, I received an email inviting me to a Sephora VIB Rouge Event where I could get a first look at and my hands on the Fall Launch of products.
Last night, I honestly wasn’t sure if I wanted to wake up early on a Sunday morning to be in San Luis Obispo for a 9:00 am event (meaning I had to leave shortly after 8:00 am to get there in time). But let me tell you, I am really glad I did! I love our Sephora in San Luis Obispo and actually saw a few of the Sephora staff members I’ve worked with during my last few visits (and believe it or not, they remembered me…the blogger)!!!
Ok, so I arrived at the store at about 8:45 am and was the first one there. I actually started to wonder if I had the wrong day, but then a few more people showed up. I didn’t mind at all because that meant that I didn’t have to deal with crowds and pushy, rude people (we all know what I’m talking about). A few more people arrived before the doors opened and we had a chance to visit. I mean, it’s fun to talk to other people about makeup, right? Ha ha!
At 9:00 a.m., the doors to Sephora opened and angels sang out loud with trumpets playing in the background. Ok, maybe not the latter, but they did open the doors at 9:00 a.m. When I walked in, they asked for my name and checked my name off the list. There were drinks and refreshments to snack on.
In addition to the drinks and refreshments were shelves with the new Fall 2016 products. I honestly would have liked to see more products, but was really happy to get my hands on the goodies I got. I even ended up ordering a few more from the website when I got home (there was only one day to do that for VIB Rouge members). I also bought some things that weren’t the newly launched items (time to grab some more NARS Concealer and Kat Von D lip color). Check out the goodies I picked up at the event!
Sephora Favorites – Summer Crush ($40)
This was one of the first products that stood out to me in the Fall 2016 product display. I love the Sephora Favorites Sets because it gives me a chance to try out deluxe-sized (and sometimes full-sized) products for a budget-friendly price. Then if I like them, I can purchase full-sized products. I was really excited because I’ve really been wanting to try the Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment, as well as the Urban Decay All Nighter Makeup Setting Spray and Smashbox 24 Hour Photo Finish Shadow Primer. All the others were extra perks in the package!

As soon as I saw the NARS Liquid Gold Set, I fell in love with it. It’s a gorgeous gold, shimmery color – in all of the products. I’ve come to really love NARS products and knew I wanted to try this out. I can’t wait to mix it in with my foundation, use as a highlighter and use as a lip gloss. Definitely glad I bought this!
What it is:

Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks ($17)
I was really excited about trying out the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks because I thought I was gonna have to wait for 2 more weeks for them to come out in stores and online. They didn’t have all of the colors, but they did have some that I really liked. Plus, it was lots of fun (like it always is) swatching all the different shades on the back of my hand.
The shades that I picked up in the store were Oblivion, Tampered, Studded and Safe Word. I love the formulas and the colors and even ordered a few more online when I got home. I can’t wait to get my hands on more of these gorgeous lipsticks!

Benefit Cosmetics ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color with Brush ($24)
When I was at the VIB Rouge Event, I had one of the makeup artists apply it to my eyebrows and really loved the way it looked. I had used the Pomade from Anastasia Beverly Hills, but found it kind of hard to work with and turned to eyebrow pencils. This formula went on really smoothly and looked like real hair. I’m super excited to try it out this week. I bought it in shade 03, but ordered the medium colored sample with my online order.

I am a big fan of Benefit cosmetics. The Benefit Cosmetics ka-BROW! Cream-Gel Eyebrow Color with Brush ($24) looks awesome as I have very thin browns that need redefining. I also like that they go on walks for charities every year.

I love all things Urban Decay esp their eye shadows but only recently started wearing their lipsticks. I love love love love them so I would go for the Urban Decay Vice Lipsticks. UD lipsticks last long and are buttery soft, just like the eye shadows.
