I love to shop and believe it or not, I especially love to shop for groceries and household supplies. As much as I love to shop for these items, I don’t necessarily like the cost associated with it. Here are 5 Ways to Save on Household Purchases.

1 – Make a list. When I go shopping for our household items, I typically make a list on my phone and buy the items all at once. This can include, but isn’t limited to, toilet paper, paper towels, detergent and paper goods. Having a list helps you stick to your budget and prevents overspending.

2 – Use coupons. I love coupons! Growing up, I remember my mom Ziploc storage bag with multiple envelopes for different coupons. I like to get my coupons from the newspaper inserts and online resources.

3 – Take advantage of cash back apps. There are lots of apps out there where you can get money back based on what you buy at different stores. One of my favorite apps is Ibotta.

4 – Have a storage area to keep all of your goodies. My sister is a great example to me. She had what I liked to call her store. She would use coupons and buy things when they were on sale, so she was able to buy a lot of a product for super cheap! She had a separate area with shelves where she stored the extra household items.

5 – Stock up on items when they go on sale. I love it when products go on sale because it gives me a chance to stock up by spending less and going home with more items (compared to the normal prices). From April 4th through April 18th, you can stock up on your household items during the April Stock Up & Save Event at Walmart.

The April Stock Up & Save Event is full of the top brands like Tide, Bounty, Pampers, Venus, Gillette, and more. It’s nice to know that when you stock up to get everyday essentials for less, you won’t run out when you need something most. Plus, when you stock up, you can save even more by checking out rewards with P&G with the Ibotta app beginning April 11th!
