I’ve loved sourdough bread for many years and when I first moved here to the Central Coast, I immediately fell in love with San Luis Sourdough® breads. San Luis Sourdough® breads are known for their unique slow-bake process (it takes over 30 hours!), authentic sourdough flavor, and crisp, bubbly crusts. San Luis Sourdough® breads has been baking delicious breads since 1983 in its bakery located on the beautiful Central Coast in San Luis Obispo (only 30 minutes from where I live). Plus, a number of San Luis Sourdough’s breads were recently officially Non-GMO Project Verified*.

I’m amazed at all of the different varieties of San Luis Sourdough® breads there are, including Sourdough Bread, Cracked Wheat Sourdough Bread, Rosemary & Olive Oil Sourdough Bread, Garlic Sourdough Bread, Sourdough Cracked Wheat Sliced Bread, Sourdough Deli Bread, Sliced Sourdough, Sliced Sourdough Deli 2 Pack and Sourdough Sliced. My favorite varieties are the Sourdough Bread and the Sourdough Cracked Wheat bread.I enjoy eating them with butter, jam, honey, in soups and as sandwiches. One of my favorite ways to eat them with breakfast is in my recipe for the Southwestern Sourdough Breakfast Toastada (notice it’s Toastada and not Tostada because it’s made with toast – hee hee). I’ve been thinking about it all day today and really want to make it again as I’m writing this post! This is a super easy recipe to make…and even your kids can help make it like ours did!

6 – Add eggs on top of the toast and drizzle enchilada sauce over it. Enjoy!
