I remember when I was a kid, our mom would put out a Sandy Candy Jar filled with Hershey’s Kisses at Christmas time. They were the red and green holiday ones! It was something I literally looked forward to every single year! Unfortunately, that Santa Candy Jar is no longer around, so I got my creative juices going and designed one myself. I have to say that I did a pretty good job for not being extremely crafty! Hey, practice makes perfect so maybe I’ll get better at making crafts all together. Here’s how to make Santa Candy Jar.

You need the following items:

  • Santa Hat (I took mine off a bear I bought at Joann’s, but you can also find tutorials on how to make one)
  • Hurricane Jar or round glass container
  • Google Eyes
  • Cotton Balls
  • Elmer’s Craft Bond Spray Adhesive
  • Hershey’s Kisses (red, green and silver)

Directions:

1 – Use the Elmer’s Craft Bond to secure the Google Eyes on the Hurricane Jar.

2 – Cut a round circle out of pink felt for the note. Secure onto the jar with Elmer’s Craft Bond.

3 – Stretch out cotton balls to look like a beard (enough to where you don’t tear it). Spray Elmer’s Craft Bond on Hurricane Jar and press cotton on to the jar. Once beard is in place, cut out half circle with pink felt and spray the back of it. Then place in between beard.

4 – Fill jar with Hershey’s Kisses (red, green and silver variety).

5 – Top off with Santa Hat!
