10 Reasons You Burn Cookies

How many of you have ever burned cookies? Ok, how many of you burn cookies more than you’d like to admit (I do, I do!)!!! In light of my batch of burned chocolate chip cookies, I thought it would be funny to write about 10 reasons we burn cookies!

1 – You forget to turn the timer on. Oh crap!

2 – You get sucked into Facebook and forget about the cookies.

3 – You start browsing all the pictures on Instagram and forget about the cookies.

4 – You have the tv or music on too loud and don’t hear the timer go off, thus forgetting about the cookies.

5 – The kids are fighting and you leave the kitchen where the timer is set and you don’t hear it go off = burned cookies.

6 – You’re doing laundry in the other room and don’t hear the timer go off.

7 – You put the cookies in the dryer instead of the oven.

8 – You hear the timer go off, turn it off and then decide to leave them in the oven for a few more minutes, but forget you put them back in.

9 – What timer???

10 – Admit it – you just suck at baking cookies! 🙂

While we will probably burn some cookies this holiday season, I hope everyone has fun making their cookies and have some cookies that survive the baking process!

LOL, I normally have the timer on, but when I go to have a look at them, they don’t look done. so then I think a few more minutes, and that’s when I forget about them, and then they are burnt.
