Super Easy Mini Meatball Subs Recipe

In our home, our kids love to eat meatball subs! But with 6 kids, that can get pretty pricey when we go to the sub shop to buy them! That’s when my husband and I came up with the idea of making Super Easy Mini Meatballs Subs in our Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven. It’s easy to make, budget-friendly and everyone loved them! Score for mom and dad!

Thanks to Panasonic, we received the Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven and were invited to participate in the Panasonic FlashXpress Toaster Oven Kids Challenge. We love having our kids cook with us because not only does it teach them to cook and create things, but it also grows the bonds and relationships we have as a family. Plus, what kid doesn’t typically like what he or she creates, right? They loved the idea of making Super Easy Mini Meatball Subs on their own and you and your kids can make your own too!

Super Easy Mini Meatball Subs

Ingredients: 

• Flaky layered biscuits (we used the Pillsbury Grands Flaky Layered biscuits)
• Pizza Sauce or Spaghetti Sauce
• Mozzarella Cheese
• Meatballs

Directions:

1 – Tear the biscuit in half without separating the top from the bottom.

2 – Spread pizza sauce or spaghetti sauce on one side of the biscuit.

3 – Layer with shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce on one side of the biscuit.

4 – If meatballs are frozen, be sure to defrost and cook before putting in biscuits. Cut cooked meatballs in half and place three halves on one layer.

5 – Spread sauce and layer with cheese on other open side of the biscuit.

6 – Close biscuit and pinch sides to seal in meat and sauce.

7 – Place on sheet and cook at 355° for 9-10 minutes. Keep an eye on the biscuits because they do cook faster than directions on biscuit package specify.

8 – Eat and enjoy!
