I recently downloaded the Doctor On Demand App on my iPhone 6 Plus and met with a doctor using the app. It was awesome! I love how convenient and easy it was to make an appointment and talk with the doctor about what was ailing me. Plus, I was able to meet with the doctor over the phone within an hour of making the appointment. You can even meet with a doctor right now if you don’t want to wait for an appointment!

3 – Enter a coupon. Thanks to Doctor On Demand, you can try the service for free for your first visit using the code: MOMMYFILES

4 – Schedule an appointment. Here you will choose if you would like to speak with a Medical Doctor, Pediatrician, Psychologist or Lactation Consultant. You will also select if the appointment is for you, a child or someone else.

5 – Allow Doctor On Demand to access your location. You are allowing them to access your location so that Doctor on Demand can match you up with a licensed doctor in your state.

6 – Select a date and time. The next step is to select a date and choose from the available time slots. I found appointments starting within an hour of searching for a time.

7 – Confirm your appointment date and time. Your appointment will be held for 30 minutes while you answer some more questions.

8 – Describe the purpose of your visit. This is where you can list your symptoms and how you are feeling.

9 – List any medications you’re taking. There will be a section to enter the name of the medicines and how long you’ve been taking them.

10 – Choose how long you’ve been feeling the way you’re feeling.

10 – List any allergies you have.

11 – Search for a pharmacy. On this next screen, you’ll search for a pharmacy near you. If the physician you meet with needs to prescribe a medication for you, they’ll send it to the pharmacy you choose here. No need to call up or take a paper prescription to the pharmacy. The doctor will send it right from his or her computer.

12 – Add your address for the pharmacy to verify.

13 – Confirm your visit.

The Appointment

When it was time for my appointment to start, I received a text message letting me know the doctor was ready to meet with me. I opened up my app and a screen came up that said the doctor was ready to meet with me and I could either click on “Begin Visit” or “Cancel Visit.”

After clicking on “Begin Visit,” I allowed Doctor On Demand to access to my camera and microphone so that the doctor could both see and hear me during the visit.
