The Brain Chase Challenge Kicks Off June 22nd!
This week is the last week of school for our kids and I can rest assured that they won’t only be playing video games this summer. I am really excited that our kids will be participating in the Brain Chase Challenge! What is Brain Chase? Brain Chase is a 5-week online summer learning challenge for 2nd through 8th graders. Brain Chase is a massive global treasure hunt powered by reading, writing and math and is the perfect learning adventure to prevent summer brain drain! This motivational tool is great for getting kids to do online academic work during the summer and includes a personalized learning platform. Brain Chase includes a hunt for a golden mechanical treasure, as well as a $10,000 scholarship and trophy!
Are you worried that registering for Brain Chase this summer might not be feasible? Maybe your kids will be attending overnight camps, traveling on a family vacation or participating in other activities. The great thing about Brain Chase is how flexible it is!
By registering for Brain Chase, your student is committing to do about five hours of focused online academic work each week for five weeks. Because the curriculum is web-based, he or she can complete the work whenever, wherever, and in whatever order he or she prefers.
Brain Chase is an online challenge, so you’re gonna need a high-speed Internet connection. It will work on the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari web browsers. You’ll be able to complete math, language and reading assignments on tablets. For writing assignments, it is recommended to have a desktop or laptop available.
Are you worried about your child falling behind because of busy summer plans? Brain Chase understands falling behind because the summer can be busy! Brain Chase allows students to catch up on missed work from previous weeks. While your child can catch up on previous weeks, he or she won’t be allowed to work ahead.
Brain Chase also has an awesome Teach Referral Reward Program! Brain Chase is offering a $15 Staples gift card to teachers for each of their students they refer to Brain Chase. Registrants who hear about Brain Chase from a teacher can simply enter that teacher’s name and school name at registration. The referral rewards can add up to substantial funding for classroom supplies. It’s also a great opportunity for a class fundraiser through the PTA, PTO or other school organizations.
Wondering how much Brain Chase costs? If you sign up now, you can take advantage of the Premium Pricing Package. Alongside the regular pricing package ($199 for the first registration and then $100 for each sibling), Brain Chase has now begun offering their premium pricing package ($249 for the first registration and then $149 for each sibling). The premium package includes Brain Chase registration plus a Brain Chase-branded adventure backpack, a Brain Chase t-shirt and Sunstone of Cortés patch. Later in the summer, these items will be available for a la carte purchase.

I’ve heard a lot about Brain Chase this summer. I can imagine that it would have been easier to get back into the swing if they had something like this when I was a kid. Red is too young to participate, so maybe they will have new features when he’s of age.

What a great way to keep kids engaged and their brains working during the summer. We usually do worksheets with the kids to prevent them from getting summer slide with schoolwork.

Looks like a fun way to challenge yourself and stimulate the brain. Kiddo does have an iPod Touch but we limit her use. She mostly uses it to Facetime with her brother (who lives with his grandma) and her 2 sisters who live with her/their mom. (she lives here with her dad and I)
The summer slide is real, but I’m trying to fight it. Brain Chase is such a neat way for kids to stay sharp.
