Wait, what?!? Now I’ve had the pleasure of participating in a lot of “fun runs,” mud runs, and a half marathon…but THIS run is just what the doctor ordered – a wine run – Dionysus Dash.
Dionysus is the Greek God of Wine, and this 5K will have us running through one of our local Santa Maria vineyards – PRESQU’ILE (press-KEEL) Winery.
So raid your college frat party attire, dust off those togas and find your inner Greek God/Goddess. Join us (team name: Grape Goddesses) for a Sunday morning of fitness and indulgence. June 14th is the date for the Santa Barbara Dionysus Dash, but there are other dates this year in these locations: Livermore, San Martin, Phoenix (AZ), and Napa.
Each Participant will receive:

The Venue – PRESQU’ILE (press-KEEL) Winery
The winery is located in the Santa Maria Valley on California’s Central Coast, just north of Santa Barbara. Created by two transverse mountain ranges on the Pacific Coast, Santa Maria Valley provides a unique west-to-east flow of cool marine breezes ideal for producing exceptional Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.
This event is for the novice and avid runners, wine tasters and Greek walkers. There will be wine tasting, music and awards.
