Do you hold a monthly book club meeting?  If so, you would love reading The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and having a book club to gather with your friends and talk about it!  My girlfriends and I recently had a blast with our book club meeting!  We read The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 and then got together and enjoyed food while talking about the book and our favorite parts.  It was so much fun!

The Hunger Games trilogy will be releasing the next installment of the highly anticipated film franchise, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 this November.  If you’ve seen any of the Hunger Games films, you know how awesome the story and characters are!  Not only are there are emotional and action-packed scenes, but you’ll also find great themes for families and friends to explore and discuss hope, relationships, leadership, and taking a stand for what you believe in.  Both teenage and adult women relate to and admire the flawed, but awesome heroine, Katniss, for her ability to survive and use the resources around her.  I personally think she is pretty awesome too!

We had a great group of girls come to the book club meeting.  I always love getting together with these ladies!  They loved getting a new book to read and we had some great discussions during our book club meeting.  We’ve even decided to go to the movie when it comes to theaters since we’ve already the book.  I highly recommend reading the book first and then watching the movie.  It’s always so amazing how different the two are, as well as the ways they are similar.  We had a great time at our Hunger Games – Mockingjay: Part 1 Book Club Meeting!

The film is coming out soon and is gonna be so good!  Have you seen the trailer?  In Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1, finds Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) in District 13 after she literally shatters the games forever.  Under the leadership of President Coin (Julianne Moore) and the advice of her trustworthy friends, Katniss fights to save Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and a nation moved by her courage.  It’s sure to be an awesome movie with lots of action and emotion!

Have you read the book yet?  Do you have a monthly book club?
