The Great Big Christmas Book Has Arrived!!!
As a child, I remember how excited I would be when the Christmas catalog would arrive from Toys“R”Us! I had all the best toy possibilities available at my fingertips, making it super easy to add items to my wish list for Santa! Now that we have kids of our own, they do the same thing. They love looking at page after page of toys and making their Christmas wish lists for Santa!
On Tuesday, October 28th, The Great Big Christmas Book, Toys“R”Us’ annual resource for wishers and wish-granters, began arriving in homes around the country. It then showed up in newspapers nationwide on Saturday, November 1st. With The Great Big Christmas Book deals valid Sunday, November 2nd through Saturday, November 22nd, kids can spend their month building their holiday wish lists, checking off their favorite toys and visiting their local Toys“R”Us store for an opportunity to experience this year’s hottest toys.
This year’s go-to guide for gift givers reads like a child‘s favorite storybook with 80 pages of toys divided into nine play-themed chapters. Chapters include Imagine & Wonder, Dream & Pretend, Sparkle & Shine, Create & Explore, Build & Collect, Rev Up & Roll, Action & Adventure, Energize & Entertain and Hot Toys. The Hot Toys section showcases the company’s “Fabulous 15” toys, expected to be the best-of-the-best for 2014. This valuable resource is designed to help customers find the idea present for the child in their life, catering to various interests.
This holiday season, Toys“R”Us is offering the toys and tools parents need to create magical play experiences that will last a lifetime, including the company’s new and improved loyalty program. The loyalty program gives shoppers the opportunity to earn more points…faster! Just in time for holiday shopping, existing Rewards”R”Us members and those who sign up in-store or online will receive $5 for every $125 spent. In addition, “R”Us credit cardholders, or those who enroll (subject to credit approval), will be able to earn 10% off in-store every Saturday in November and 10% off in-store every Thursday throughout the holiday season. Plus, all Rewards”R”Us shoppers will be privy to exclusive pre-Black Friday deals and discounts.

Oh cool! I saw a different Holiday Book for Toysrus.. I guess there’s 2 this year? wow.. thanks for sharing 😀
I have to say my kids would be pretty excited to see that great big book!
I used to love looking through those as a child and making lists. Those toy books are a big deal!
Definitely giving books this Christmas. Enough with toys!
I love giving books!!!
My kids would tear that book apart.. I also looked forward to seeing what the new toys were for the season.
Every year we get the Great Big Christmas Book, and every year my kids go bonkers over it.
I have got to get my hands on that! It’s so exciting.
This was my favorite book as a kid. Now its my Kids favorite toy book.
I used to love picking out my Christmas wish list from catalogs when I was a kid. Great post!
Oh, great! I’d love to give books this Christmas!
Oh wow, I had totally forgotten about looking through this catalog! Now, I just love to browse the ads for Black Friday from the paper- so much fun!
My oldest doesn’t really want toys anymore, which makes me sad. My little guy needs to look in this book, though.
This is a great way to promote by Toys R Us. It would also help kids be creative.
I bet children would absolutely love to get this big Christmas book!
I love christmas catalogues but dont have kids yet so no not seen the toys r us one.
YES! I remember the excitement of seeing the book in the mailbox! Yay!
Oh man, my son would love to look through this book. We haven’t even made his list yet, we are so behind.
My kids would have loved this when they were younger. It is always fun to watch kids look at all the great toys.
How fun. I don’t recall those, but I think it is important to have a list. As I say it is is the thought that counts. So put some thought into it and get someone what they’ve asked for instead of being selfish and getting them something you want to get them…
They look excited! My son isn’t a big toy kid he apparently hates cleaning them up so he always refuses to ask for toys. He is however a lover of video games and I am sure they have a few in the Christmas book.
How exciting for the kids to sift through the pages choosing what they’d like from Santa. I remember doing the same as a child 🙂
This is a good idea. I remember as a child making a LONG list of things I wanted lol I’ll have to pass the tradition down to my little one.
haha I remember my daughter going through these books building her wish list.
Great memories 🙂
Oh yes, the big Christmas book. It was always so much fun to look through and pick out goodies.
My kids literally spend hours for days on end going through this book. It’s funny and I remember doing that with the JCP and Sears books lol.
We’ve gotten our Big Christmas Book! It was a always a sign of Christmas coming when I was a child. 🙂
I need to hide the big book from my girls. LOL!
We’ve already received it too, but our son wasn’t as excited because he had already made a wishlist and what’s on his list were not in the catalog. 🙂
It has arrived … I remember as a kid there was this one HUGE book for Christmas my Mom always got in the mail. Maybe it was Toys R Us?! I don’t know but I DO KNOW it had so many toys and such. I would go through it and circle all I wanted 😉
Toys R Us and the FAO Shwartz catalogs were 2 things I stalked the mail for as a kid 🙂 IO would spend hours doing the same things yours are doing lol 🙂
Haha! That book is trouble. Not just because my son wants everything in it, but I do too! I love way too many of those featured products!
How fun! It’s that time <3. My kids are still just too little to fully get the awesomness.
The Great Big Christmas Book sounds amazing for the kids indeed and easier for the parents. I don’t have any young kids anymore so I will have to share this with my sister. Thanks for sharing.
What a cool book! I used to love this kind of fun books when I was a kid.
Yya ! look so good my kids would love so much.
