As a child, I remember how excited I would be when the Christmas catalog would arrive from Toys“R”Us!  I had all the best toy possibilities available at my fingertips, making it super easy to add items to my wish list for Santa!  Now that we have kids of our own, they do the same thing.  They love looking at page after page of toys and making their Christmas wish lists for Santa!

On Tuesday, October 28th, The Great Big Christmas Book, Toys“R”Us’ annual resource for wishers and wish-granters, began arriving in homes around the country.  It then showed up in newspapers nationwide on Saturday, November 1st.  With The Great Big Christmas Book deals valid Sunday, November 2nd through Saturday, November 22nd, kids can spend their month building their holiday wish lists, checking off their favorite toys and visiting their local Toys“R”Us store for an opportunity to experience this year’s hottest toys.

This year’s go-to guide for gift givers reads like a child‘s favorite storybook with 80 pages of toys divided into nine play-themed chapters.  Chapters include Imagine & Wonder, Dream & Pretend, Sparkle & Shine, Create & Explore, Build & Collect, Rev Up & Roll, Action & Adventure, Energize & Entertain and Hot Toys.  The Hot Toys section showcases the company’s “Fabulous 15” toys, expected to be the best-of-the-best for 2014.  This valuable resource is designed to help customers find the idea present for the child in their life, catering to various interests.

This holiday season, Toys“R”Us is offering the toys and tools parents need to create magical play experiences that will last a lifetime, including the company’s new and improved loyalty program.  The loyalty program gives shoppers the opportunity to earn more points…faster!  Just in time for holiday shopping, existing Rewards”R”Us members and those who sign up in-store or online will receive $5 for every $125 spent.  In addition, “R”Us credit cardholders, or those who enroll (subject to credit approval), will be able to earn 10% off in-store every Saturday in November and 10% off in-store every Thursday throughout the holiday season.  Plus, all Rewards”R”Us shoppers will be privy to exclusive pre-Black Friday deals and discounts.

  20. How fun. I don’t recall those, but I think it is important to have a list. As I say it is is the thought that counts. So put some thought into it and get someone what they’ve asked for instead of being selfish and getting them something you want to get them…

  21. Danielle says:

They look excited! My son isn’t a big toy kid he apparently hates cleaning them up so he always refuses to ask for toys. He is however a lover of video games and I am sure they have a few in the Christmas book.

  22. Fi Ní Neachtáin says:

How exciting for the kids to sift through the pages choosing what they’d like from Santa. I remember doing the same as a child 🙂
