I love having a dishwasher! I guess part of the reason I love having a dishwasher is because I have lived in a home before where “I” was the dishwasher. That’s right – good old washing dishes by hand with dish soap and a sponge. I don’t really miss those days!
When using the dishwasher, I expect our dishes to come out clean and sparkling (aka without the water spots). I’ve tried a lot of dishwasher detergents and my favorite is Cascade Platinum Pacs and Rinse Aid. As part of this campaign, I had friends over for a get-together, where we ate, drank and watched Cascade Platinum work it’s magic on our dirty dishes!
During the party, I explained the “Brownie Demo Experiment” I was conducting. Basically, I baked a pan of brownies the day before and saved the baking dish (without washing it) so I could load the dishwasher the next day with the rest of the dishes I used for the party. I pointed out that (as hard as it was – and it was hard!) that I did NOT soak or pre-wash the dish before loading it in the dishwasher. We were all amazed at how clean the dishes came out thanks to Cascade Platinum Pacs and Rinse Aid!

About Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid
Cascade Platinum Rinse Aid provides outstanding spot and film protection. It helps to rinse away food particles and residues that can cause spots on dishes. It also provides great drying action. Etch protection helps prevent further damage to dishes. It does a great job on dishes.
5 Tips for Dishwasher Success
1 – You can stack them high or stack them low – just make sure bulky items don’t block the sprayer.
2 – Place tall dishes and pans in the back of the bottom rack so they don’t block the detergent chamber.
3 – Place glasses and other fragile items in the top rack. This keeps them away from the powerful sprayer under the bottom rack.
4 – Keep glasses looking great. Set them between the tines on the rack, not over them. Wet contact points can cause spots.
5 – Threading longer utensils through coffee-mug handles can help keep them secure in the wash.

Question:Tell me in a comment what your toughest dishes (with recipe title) are to get cleaned in the dishwasher… Answer: Okay, my toughest dishes to get cleaned are the pots for sure! Seems like when I make anything I’m scrubbing the pots forever before I put it in the dishwasher, otherwise,it won’t come clean! (With Recipe title… I’m not sure what that part of the question means? I just make all kinds of recipes mostly any food that sticks to the pots & some foods dry on the pot too) …Thanks for the giveaway!

Fruit cobblers—like Blackberry Crisp–are yummy to eat, but sticky to clean.
Lasagna always sticks pretty bad!
When we make pizzas with fresh gooey mozzarella the pan is pretty difficult to clean. Lasagna pans are a big mess, too. I make cobblers all the time, and if I forget and make them in a regular glass dish it’s a disaster, too.
My toughest is Frito Pie dishes. So messy, but my family loves it.

Here in the South, grits are a stable. But seriously, you can’t let grits dry to the sides of the pot, or you’re in BIG trouble trying to get it off! I always presoak and let the dish washer have it!
*Staple. Not stable. LOL
Lasagna is tough to clean, also hot spicy wings, i hate those greasy stains.
My toughest dish to get clean is by far my macaroni and cheese dish. Perhaps, I make it too often and we really love having lots of cheese in the dish. I use a glass rectangular dish.
Recipe: Cherry Pie; just the usual thing, unfortunately the usual thing for me usually includes a pie crust that won’t hold, cooked on sugary cherry gunk, and 2 days in the fridge to get nice and stuck on there.
hard grits in a bowl
I would say the hardest to get clean is my kids’ oatmeal bowls when they don’t put them in the sink with water. Hate it when the food hardens on the dishes.
