I didn’t really know who Julie Child was until I watched the movie, “Julie and Julia.”  What an awesome movie!  And I have to say that her recipes sounded amazing!!!

In my recent visit to Foodie.com, I added a few recipes that sounded amazing and that were inspired by Julia Child.  The recipes ranged from main dishes to breads to side dishes to desserts.  I can’t wait to try making some of them for my family!

    I spotted the blackberry pie bars right off the bat. I just kept coming back to them. YUMMY! She was quite something, wasn’t she?

    I can say that I learned how to de-bone a chicken from watching her on TV. Her best advice was not to be afraid of the bird!

  15. All of the Julia Child recipes look amazing. I’m not a huge baker, but I may have to try one of her recipes. The chocolate mousse looks divine!

    I thought that was a good movie too. I haven’t made a Julia Child recipe, but I have no clue why. Seems smart to give it a go, so many of them sound so good.
