Outback Steakhouse Best Mates Blogger Event in Tampa
Have you been to Outback Steakhouse before? I’m a big fan of Outback Steakhouse and was so excited when they asked me to a part of their Outback Steakhouse Best Mates Program. Part of the perks of being a Best Mate is getting to try different menus from Outback Steakhouse and attending the Outback Steakhouse Best Mates Blogger Event in Tampa, Florida. I had a great time and enjoyed a LOT of yummy food!!!
The Outback Steakhouse team flew me out to Tampa, Florida, where I stayed in the beautiful Tampa Renaissance Hotel. In the morning, we had breakfast at Outback headquarters. There we had breakfast and met Outback Steakhouse President Jeff Smith. He’s been with the company for a long time and his dedication to customer satisfaction emanated through him as he spoke to us. I left feeling like Outback Steakhouse did want their customers to have the best dining experience possible.
After we met with Jeff and a few other members of the team, we had the opportunity to take a tour of the Corporate Kitchen with Chef Paul Fabre. I should say that this was a huge privilege for us to do as bloggers. In fact, only a small amount of Outback Steakhouse employees have ever stepped foot in the Corporate Kitchen.
After the tour, it was time for lunch. Oh yeah baby! There was so much food!!! We had the opportunity to sample the Moonshine BBQ menu. It was amazing! Here is what we ate for lunch:
Moonshine BBQ Bacon Wrapped Shrimp
Moonshine BBQ Wood-Fire Grilled Wings
Moonshine BBQ Ribs and Macaroni Cheese
The Moonshine Menu at Outback Steakhouse is really yummy. I’m craving those Moonshine BBQ Ribs and Moonshine BBQ Wrapped Shrimp as I write this post. This limited time only Moonshine BBQ Menu is made with real moonshine. Be sure to try all three Moonshine cocktails, including the Huckleberry Hooch, Watermelon Hunch Punch and Just Peachee.
After lunch, we watched a demo from the Kitchen Crew and even learned how to make the Bloomin’ Onion. Sorry, but I can’t share details. I can tell you it was pretty awesome and we were all craving a Bloomin’ Onion afterwards! One of the perks of watching a demonstration is getting to eat the end product afterwards – hee hee!
Have you tried the new Moonshine Menu at Outback Steakhouse? What was your favorite item? If not, what item would you try first?
This is a sponsored post as part of the Outback Best Mates program. All opinions are mine.
That’s great, what an awesome experience. I need to go try those out, looks so good!
I am totally jealous! They need to have one of these events for all of us Boston bloggers up here. I would be in heaven. I love the Outback!
Mmm! Bloomin Onions are my favorite thing from there. It looks like you had a very good time and what an exciting thing to participate in.
Oh, it all looks so good. I might need to go to the Outback now.
What a fun (and yummy!) event! It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Outback – there are so many new items to try.
that skillet apple pie looks good. I love that they showed you how to cut the onion
I have never been to an Outback steak house but now I really would like to try it out. The Bloomin’ Onion looks amazing, all the pics looked great. I will have to see where the closest one to me is and go soon.
Shut the front door. I want to eat all of this and I want to eat it now. I know that sounds like I am a little miss piggy – but it is way too close to dinner, I don’t want to cook, and all of those photographs looked delicious. I am totally craving those bacon wrapped shrimp now and I want an onion.
I love the kitchen experience. And you saw a bloomin’ onion in the making. Cool!
Looks like you had a great time! There isn’t an Outback where I live, unfortunately.
Holy deliciousness, Batman! That looks like one amazing outing. I’m totally jealous. Outback is awesome.
I have not tried Outback’s new menu. I think it is cool the way you do to see the behind the scenes stuff, especially how they make the blooming onion.

I actually watched on a show once that Outback has specific people at each restaurant that are only allowed to do the Bloomin’ Onion thing so it’s perfect every single time.
