3 Ways to Make Money on Your Blog
I’ve been blogging at The Mommy-Files for over 6 years now and still love it as much as I did when I started. With my blog, I’ve been able to help support my family, travel and share my thoughts and experiences with products we love and use in our family. What started as a hobby has now become a career and a way I can help to support my family financially. Over the years, I’ve learned how to make money on The Mommy-Files. Here are 3 Ways to Make Money on Your Blog.
BLOGGING COMMUNITIES
One of the easiest ways to make money on your blog is by joining communities around the blogosphere. Check out this post where I talk about some of my favorite communities I am a part of and that I participate in publishing sponsored posts with. Recently, I also learned about another community where I can make money by writing sponsored posts. It wasn’t too long after signing up that I received my first gig. I love that I know what I’m going to make on each campaign and that the customer service is super friendly and quick to reply to my questions. It was at a recent blogging conference that I learned about Find Your Influence. I heard great things about it from my blogging friends and decided to check it out for myself.

Another great way to earn money is by becoming an Ambassador for a brand. When you are an Ambassador of a brand, you share with your family, friends and blog followers about the company and their products. Often times, you will sign a contract that outlines your responsibility as an Ambassador, as well as the terms and conditions of your position. Most ambassadorships are paid a stipend – whether it’s monthly or at the end of the campaign. TWITTER PARTIES
Other than sponsored posts, one of my favorite ways to make money when I first started monetizing my blog was with Twitter Parties. You can find paid positions as a host, co-host or panelist. It’s pretty awesome to participate in an hour long (sometimes longer) twitter party for some of your favorite brands and then make money at the same time.

I’m pretty sure I signed up with FYI but haven’t heard much from them since I signed up. I’ve heard great things about this community though so I can’t wait until my first gig! 🙂
