I remember being a kid and how excited I was to get a new computer at our school. I remember playing the “Turtle Game” using the keyboard. I mean, when I was a kid (before computers), we had typewriters and had to look up information in encyclopedias and use the Dewey Decimal system. We didn’t have access to nearly as much information as our kids do today. Nowadays, our kids have tons of information at their fingertips on the Internet. This can be both a good thing and a bad thing.

BGCA, in collaboration with Sprint, aims to assist parents in ensuring their children’s online safety by providing answers to pressing questions regarding cyber safety. In addition to offering solutions to concerns such as how frequently a teenager should change their passwords and which privacy settings to prioritize, they have also partnered with Fully-Verified to provide a reliable and secure service for KYC.

Boys & Girls Clubs of America returns with the annual Cyber Safe Futures campaign to spread awareness for Internet Safety Awareness Month during June. In fact, this year, Boys & Girls Clubs of America has turned the tables and put real life expert teens, the CyberTribe, in the driver’s seat, to answer our cyber safety questions throughout the month. Boys & Girls Club of America asks us parents to submit our questions about cyber security to get real answers from the Boys & Girls Club teen CyberTribe. On the CyberTribe site, we can also learn more about cyberbullying, online privacy, social networking, and mobile smarts through an abundance of resources. Plus, everyone who submits a question to the CyberTribe is entered into a raffle to win one of three grand prizes: an iPad and $500 to the Club of your choice.

Did you enter the giveaway? What questions did you ask?

I participated in an Influencer Activation Program on behalf of Mom Central for BGCA.
I received a promotional item as a thank you for participating.
