I am a huge fan of Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler! Our family especially loves them in movies together, including “Wedding Singer” and “50 First Dates.”  So when I had the opportunity to head down to Los Angeles for the “Blended” Press Day, I jumped on it!  Not only did I get to screen the movie, “Blended” before it hit theaters, I also had the opportunity to interview Drew Barrymore, Adam Sandler and Wendi McLendon-Covey.

To start out, we previewed the movie in the TCL Chinese 6 Theaters in Hollywood.  We headed in and were given complimentary popcorn and sodas (and of course I bought some Peanut M&Ms too).  I laughed and cried in the movie and couldn’t wait to take my family to go see it as well.  I absolutely love Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore together, and Wendi McLendon-Covey was the icing on the cake (especially with the women telling the obnoxious guy off in the stands and getting dressed in the closet)!  I walked away feeling like this was definitely a movie I want to own!

After the movie, we headed to the Hollywood Hills Suite at the Loew’s Hollywood Hotel, where we enjoyed lunch and beauty treatments courtesy of Flower Cosmetics.  It was so much fun!  First was a yummy lunch.  There were wraps, sandwiches, salads, bread and dessert.  It was so delicious!

Available were makeup treatments and hair treatments as well.  We had our hair braided and it was really fun!  At first, I was hesitant to do it, but then I decided to go for it.  I asked the stylist to go for a wedding inspired look and she did a fabulous job!!!

It was great meeting up with some of my blogger friends as well.  There are some of these ladies whom I haven’t seen in quite some time and it was great to laugh and snap some shots together with them.  After getting hair done, we anxiously awaited the arrival of Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, followed by Wendi McLendon Covey.

I was super excited to see Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore in person.  They were both as funny and lively in person as on the screen.  I could definitely see from their interactions with one another why they make such a great pair on screen.  Here’s a little snippet from our interview.

Blogger: So, how did this come about?  Why did you want to make a movie together?

Ms. Drew Barrymore: I mean, why not?  I always joke that I call Adam, well we first met I called him, because I know that we’re supposed to partner up.  I just know it in my heart.  And I stalked him until he accepted the ways….

Mr. Adam Sandler: It wasn’t that hard by the way….But, it was pretty much, Drew Barrymore wants to have lunch with you.  I go, all right.

Ms. Drew Barrymore: And then, he found, or presented, because it was his project, the Wedding Singer….And I knew reading it, I was, that’s it.  That’s the one.  And Adam really, really cares and scrupulously as a producer and a great writer, really makes sure that the script is tailor-made for us, and has all the things, like our strengths, or things we want to try, or things we want to put in it, or fun set pieces where you’re, like, I get to do that?  Oh my gosh, this is so fun.  Okay.  And then, when we found 50 First Dates, I actually sat down to a typewriter and I wrote him a letter crying.  And I was, like, I know this is the one.  I know it.  I know it.  I know it.  And then he got the letter.

Mr. Adam Sandler: And said I better do this, or something bad is going to happen.

Ms. Drew Barrymore: I guess it was received well because we did the movie.  I never questioned to be the letter or not.

Mr. Adam Sandler: Anything you ask for I do by the way.

After interviewing Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler, we had the opportunity to take a group photo.  It was pretty awesome!  It was definitely a great opportunity that I’ll always remember!

At the end of our Press Day, we had the opportunity to also interview Wendi McLendon-Covey.  Boy, was she super funny!  Oh my gosh, she’s as funny in real life as she is on the screen!  We finished up by taking a picture with her as well.  It was overall a pretty awesome day!

Blended is in theaters today, so be sure to head out and check it out!  You’ll definitely laugh and might even cry!  A big thanks to Warner Brothers for inviting me to preview the “Blended” movie and meet with such awesome actors!
