It seems that every week or so some researcher rings the alarm over what vitamins and supplements are right and wrong for people to take. It can be maddening to hear that a vitamin or supplement you were told were safe last month are now all but toxic this month. It’s even worse when you consider that almost no one mentions what kind of natural products are safe to use on your skin and hair. How can you know?

The good news is that companies like Thorne Research conducts meticulous studies on vitamins, minerals and supplements that go both inside and outside the human body. These companies make sure that anything they offer to the public is both safe and effective. Among the supplements for more energy for both internal and external health are:

Iodine Tyrosine

This supplement, which consists of the element iodine and the amino acid L-tyrosine, supports the functioning of both the adrenal and the thyroid glands.

5-MTHF

The proper name of this supplement is L-5-Methyltetrahydrofolate, which is a form of folate. This supplement supports the health of the nervous and cardiovascular systems.

Arabinex

This is a supplement that’s derived from the larch tree. It’s known to support the functioning of the intestinal system, which many medical professionals believe is essential to the good functioning of the immune system. Arabinex comes in powder form and can be dissolved in water or juice.

Herbal Creams

Some of these topical creams are used to smooth and soften rough and scaly patches of skin using natural ingredients like thyme, cocoa butter, sunflower seed oil, beeswax and aloe juice. Other creams can be used to ease the symptoms of menopause and pre-menopause. These creams contain hormone balancing substances like sweet almond oil and natural progesterone.

Magnesium Gel

This is a gel that’s formulated to bring magnesium, a mineral that supports nearly all the systems of the body, directly into the muscles and joints. This bypasses the one problem with taking magnesium orally, which might be lower GI tract discomfort.

The strict standards that go into formulating nmn dietary capsules and other supplements can not only improve the well-being of the customer, but can give him or her peace of mind as well.

Good post. I just heard something on NPR about most supplements being useless, save for a handful. This list is great – I got a topical magnesium after hearing the radio report!

Wow this is a great post. I have never even heard of Magnesium Gel. This is one supplement I should really look into using. I have Fibromyalgia and need all the help I can get when it comes to my muscles and joints. I have a lot of discomfort in both those areas. Thank you for sharing this information.
