Meet My Favorite All-Star Dad!

Do you have a dad who means a lot to you?  Perhaps you have a dad who is a male role model to the young men in your life?  If so, now is the perfect time to share about your dad with the world.  I’d like to start out by introducing you to my dad.

Some of the fondest memories of my dad as a little girl are of him tucking me into bed at night and reading bedtime stories to me and my sisters.  I remember having a close relationship with him, even after my parents divorced.  There have been periods my life where things were rocky, but I am so glad to have my dad in my life now.  I love that he is also there for my boys – teaching them, loving them and being an awesome grandpa.

My dad was there for me through some very emotional times in my life (such as my divorce).  He’s always been able to make me laugh (whether by dancing around, singing crazy or wearing his hair hat – yeah I just said that)!  I remember going to the Father-Daughter Dance when I was in Girl Scouts.  I remember him trying to make Top Ramen unsuccessfully when he was a bachelor and then going to Chinese for real soup – ha ha!  I remember traveling to Maui when I was 13 and hearing my dad sing, “Maui I Love You” in the men’s restroom while my stepmom and I were waiting for him.  My dad means a lot to me and I am so thankful that I only live a few minutes away from him now.  He is a very special part of our lives and is definitely an All-Star Dad to me!
