I have seen Treat Pops here and there on a few of my favorite blogs I follow, but I have never tried to make them myself.  I have to admit – I was nervous to do it and have it come out looking like it was homemade.  However, I am so proud of the way they turned out and how easy they were to make!!!

Here’s what you need to make the Peep-A-Boo Easter Treat Pops:

– Cupcakes (either mini or regular)
– Treat Pops
– Icing
– Disposable Decorating Bags
– Your favorite tip and coupler set
– Treat Pop Stand (to hold your finished treat pops)
– Peeps

How to Make the Peep-A-Boo Treat Pops:

1 – Set up the treat pops containers.  Make sure the handle is all the way at the bottom.  This way, your icing won’t smear when you’re decorating.

2 – Place a cupcake in the treat pops container.  If you have mini cupcakes, you can just slide them on in.  If you have regular cupcakes, start off by cutting them in half (through the center – so you have the top and the bottom as individual cupcakes).  Then turn a treat pops container upside down and press into the cupcake, forming a circle.  You can pop that bad boy right into the container.

3 – Fill a disposable decorating bag with your favorite icing and use your favorite tip with coupler.

4 – Fill in with icing on top of the cupcake in the container to desired amount.

5 – Repeat Steps 2 and 4.

6 – Cut Peep bunny in half (so all you see is the head and ears).

7 – Create an outline of icing on the top cupcake to help hold the Peep in place.

8 – Place the Peep on the top cupcake and complete filling in with icing.

9 – Top with your favorite sprinkles.

10 – Share and enjoy!

Have you made treat pops before?  What was your favorite theme?

I have the treat pop holders and a stand and have only used it once. mine didn’t look quite as professional as yours. I love this Easter idea though and maybe as a non-Easter I could use the go bold colored mixes.
