Enjoying a glass of red wine with my honey.

One of my favorite wineries on the Central Coast is the Kelsey Winery.  Frank, myself and a few of my girlfriends went wine tasting at Kelsey Winery for the first time last year and I fell in love with it.  We’ve even back a few other times since – bringing friends who have visited the Central Coast from out of town.

My absolute favorite wine at Kelsey See Canyon Vineyards is the Golden Delicious Wine.  The Golden Delicious wine is infused with Golden Delicious apples – making for an amazing taste!  You can purchase a bottle for $22, but it’s less expensive if you belong to the Kelsey Wine Club (Caroline is a member).

We love to go into the tasting room and sample the different wines on the list.  Plus, there’s a never-ending supply of pretzels to cleanse your pallet after each wine tasting.

In the tasting room is also a wall of pictures.  I love looking at old photos and this wall has a lot of them.

I love the atmosphere and environment at Kelsey Winery.  If it’s a beautiful day and you want to enjoy the weather outside, simply order wine at the outside window and sit back and relax with a refreshing glass of wine.  Sometimes you’ll even find bands playing in the back.

Many times, you’ll notice the peacocks running around – showing off their big beautiful feathers.  You can even buy a peacock feather to take it home as a souvenir.

On one of our visits, Frank and I even met the owners, Dick and Dolores Kelsey.  They were the sweetest couple ever.  In fact, he talked to me about the meaning of each of the pictures on the wall.  It was a pretty awesome visit!

If I would recommend anything, I would say to bring snacks.  Then you can sit back, listen to the music, sip your wine and eat your snacks.  We didn’t bring snacks the first time we visited Kelsey Winery, but it’s good to know that they do have a refrigerator in the wine tasting room with cheese, salami and crackers.  The perfect food to complement your wines!

My absolute favorite winery – the apple infused wines are amazing! I love that they are kid friendly too, they love looking for peacock feathers!

My best friend is always telling me how fun wine tastings are. Personally, I’m not really into wine (I do drink it from time to time, though), yet I would love to go to a wine tasting sometime. By the way, that mermaid surfboard is just the coolest! 🙂

I like the thought of having Golden Delicious Wine. I have never been to this winery, but we have an excellent winery where I live and the wine and tour I took was amazing. I like to go to this vineyard and winery some day. It looks like a fun place to go and visit with family.
