I am thrilled to be writing as a Kohl’s Fashion Ambassador with Mom Central.  It not only has grown my wardrobe, but has also allowed me to express my creativity through clothes, shoes and jewelry.  Plus, I have discovered and found a fashionista love for some amazing designers and brands (i.e. Peter Som, Jennifer Lopez, Apt. 9, Croft & Barrow, and others).

Recently, I headed to Kohl’s in search of 2 dresses from which I would create 6 different looks.  I had so much fun with this campaign!  Not only did it allow me to find some really cute dresses for our upcoming cruise, but I also created different looks with the 2 dresses – 6 looks to be exact!  When I was shopping at Kohl’s, I had a hard time picking only 2 dresses, but I managed to narrow it down to my 2 favorites.  There were so many cute dresses to choose from at Kohl’s!!!

The first dress I fell in love with was the Jennifer Lopez Floral Empire Maxi Dress.  It not only looks great, but is super comfortable too!  I love Maxi dresses!  My first look was with just the dress and a pair of wedge sandals.

To get the second look, I added some jewelry.  With this maxi dress, I added the SONOMA Life + Style Gold Tone Bead Linear Drop Earrings, the SONOMA Life + Style Gold Tone Simulated Crystal, Bead & Kite Charm Necklace, and the SONOMA Life + Style Bead Stretch Bracelet Set.  They were worn with other outfits I recently wrote about from Kohl’s and went perfectly with this dress – creating a more elegant look.

To get the third look, I added an AB Studio Open-Front Cardigan.  I love it because it not only changes the look of my dress, but it also helps keep me a little bit warmer.  The Open-Front Cardigan is great for those days when it’s warm, but not warm enough for a sleeveless dress.

The second dress I bought was an Apt. 9 Mixed-Media Sheath Dress in black.  Oh my gosh, I love it!  The first way to wear the dress is with just the dress itself and a pair of black peak-toed shoes.  This is definitely one I’ll be wearing on our cruise in May (and next February for our honeymoon)!

I created a second look with the black Sheath Dress by adding some pretty jewelry.  Both the necklace and bracelets come from the Jennifer Lopez jewelry collection.  As soon as I saw the Jennifer Lopez Silver Tone Simulated Crystal Flower Swag Necklace and Jennifer Lopez Silver Tone Simulated Crystal Hammered Bangle Bracelet Set, I knew I had to have them!  Plus, they were on sale, which made it that much easier to purchase them.  I will definitely be wearing them with a lot of my outfits!

The second look was created with a pair of black flats and the black AB Studio Open-Front Cardigan.  This makes for a dressed up, but less formal look.  It’s perfect for a date night or even dinner on the cruise!

Not only did I find some really cute dresses and create 6 different looks, but I also earned Kohl’s cash from my purchase!  Oh yeah!  Be sure to sign up for the Kohl’s Rewards Card (it’s free) because you’ll earn cash back on all of your Kohl’s purchases.  Remember, you can change up the look of your dress by changing the shoes you wear, adding in jewelry and adding in a cardigan.

Also, be on the lookout for the new Peter Som collection coming to Kohl’s on April 10th.

What is your favorite way to change the look of a dress?

I participated in an Ambassador Program on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Kohl’s.  I received Kohl’s gift cards and sample pieces to facilitate my posts and as a thank you for participating.
