Frank and I have 6 kids and each of them at one time or another has expressed an interest in cooking or baking in the kitchen. I LOVE that!!! Frank and I recently discovered Dream Dinners and have enjoyed preparing dinners together at least once a month for our family. It’s a fun experience for us.  We had Frank’s kids one weekend when we were scheduled to put together our Dream Dinners, but no worries because we took the kids with us. And guess what? They loved it!!!  I can’t wait to take my boys to prepare Dream Dinners at some point!

I worked with Ian and Frank worked with the girls.  Ian had so much fun putting together the Stuffed Shells.  I was so proud of him!  He even made less of a mess than I did – yes I did just admit that.  As soon as he finished, he couldn’t wait to do the next dish.

The girls did a great job helping Frank (aka Daddy) as well!  They were looking forward to moving on and making the next dish as well.  Then when they finished, we all worked together on the remaining meals.  Yes, I did help put together the meals, but somebody had to take the pictures!  Ha ha!

Kids can be picky eaters at time.  I mean, their taste buds have been exposed to as many different flavors and spices as we have as adults.  I can tell you though that it definitely helps them to develop more of a willingness to try new flavors by getting them involved in the cooking process.  Plus, it teaches them to do something they may actually grow to love!

And you can guess what we prepared for dinner that night?  Yep, we baked up one of the casseroles the kids made together.  Yes, that’s right – all 3 kids (with 2 adults supervising) put the casserole together.  I wonder what we’ll make with the kids next??!!!

If you live on the Central Coast of California, I would highly recommend you check out Dream Dinners in Ferrini Square in San Luis Obispo.  The Customer Service is awesome there and it’s an overall fun experience for the entire family!

Have you tried Dream Dinners before?
What is your favorite meal?  What is your child’s favorite meal?
