Sprint Blogger’s Event in the Bay Area
Thanks to Mom Central, I had the opportunity to attend the 2013 Sprint Blogger’s Event in the Bay Area. I headed to the Sprint Collaboration Center in Burlingame, California and hung out with bloggers (like Margaret of Margs World, Dawn from Mama Harris’ Kitchen and Emelia of Half Crazy Mama) and the Sprint team. We learned about different products and services available from Sprint. I even left the event with a password on my phone (yes, I know, I didn’t have one)!!
We started the morning with rain (yes – lots of rain), greetings from the Sprint Team, name tags and brunch. The food was so good! I have to admit, I was a little hungry after the long drive up from the Central Coast. We had a great time eating and socializing, while learning about some of Sprint’s newest devices.
One of my favorite devices at the event was the Samsung Galaxy Gear Smart Watch. I felt like Inspector Gadget (the girl version of course) when I was wearing it! It functioned as a watch, video camera, music player, phone and more! I did NOT leave with one of these babies – as much as I wanted to.
I also thought the Kyocera Hydro waterproof smartphone was pretty dang cool! Can you believe the phone can stay immersed in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes? I couldn’t believe it until I saw her put the phone in the tank of water. Too cool!!! Another cool thing about the Kyocera Hydro Smartphone is that it is available in the Pay-As-You-Go plan with Virgin Mobile.
There were so many different phones and devices to look at and try. I hope to work with the Sprint Team again in the future. Thanks to Mom Central and Sprint for this awesome event, as well as to the rockin’ bloggers I got to hang out with for the day!!!

I see some lovely ladies I know in these pics! Sounds like a neat event and I’m bummed I couldn’t make it. That smart watch is so cool and would really be great for my husband who likes function but hasn’t jumped into the smartphone world yet!

My parents are loyal Sprint customers for many years. They are coveting some of these. I personally think the watch is very cool!
