Run or Dye Color Run
Last year I had to travel to Los Angeles to participate in my first mud run and absolutely fell in love with the concepts fun runs. I am so happy that Run or Dye is coming to the Central Coast in May that I’m tickled pink! Or shall I say colored pink…
What’s Run or Dye? No, no I’m not misspelling the word “dye” as some of my friends might think. You’re not going to die but be dyed! It’s your chance to be a kid again where you’re encouraged to come out of the race looking like an Easter egg.
Run or Dye is the World’s Most Colorful 5K — you become part of the rainbow. As you run/walk/dance through the course, you will get showered in safe, eco-friendly, plant-based powdered dye at every kilometer…turning you into a technicolor canvas of fun! The result is a once-in-a-lifetime experience which makes exercising fun!
For those unfamiliar with fun runs – these are not races where you’re timed. You can take your time and go at your own pace if you’re a novice or bring your own stopwatch if you’re competitive. A 5K = 3.1 miles. It’s not short, but not long either. My 6-year old twins will be running with me so I know I’ll be going at a slower pace, but they are very excited for the run. Plus children 6 years old or younger are FREE! So make this a fun family experience. I cannot even tell you how important it is for your children to see you taking control of your health and exercising. This kind of exercising is fun for the young and old!
For those of you in my neck of the woods (Central California) wanting to join us on May 3rd, we are always looking for fun people to run with. We’ve created a team called “Parental Colors.” Feel free to join our team or run as an individual. You can register here, and use the coupon code SLOBLOG to receive a discount or search for a location near you.
I’m looking forward to seeing some colorful people at the run this coming May 3rd and I’ll write another post after the run full of crazy pictures.
That sounds like so much fun!
