For about 7 years, I was a stay-at-home mom.  When I went through my divorce, I became a working mom.  Let me tell you – it was scary putting myself out in the workforce again.  Just the fact that I hadn’t worked in the field for 7 years immediately put me at a disadvantage as I began applying for jobs.  I wish I had resource such as Mom Corps YOU then!

What is Mom Corps YOU?  Mom Corps YOU is an online resource for Moms interested in finding a more flexible job, re-joining the work force or simply achieving greater work-life satisfaction.  Mom Corps YOU provides a wide range of resources to help facilitate these aspirations and allow us to turn our resolutions into reality.  Mom Corps YOU offers weekly informational sessions, industry insights, tips from recruiters, and more.

I love all the different resources and support that I can find with Mom Corps YOU.  With a membership, I can enjoy direct access to Mom Corps’ team of recruiting professionals (which is perfect because things in the business world have a tendency of changing over the years).  I also have resources in career, health and wellness, personal finance and business ownership.  Mom Corps YOU is definitely a great resource when it comes to helping me achieve my professional and personal goals.

As a blogger, I have had the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of webinars.  I love that I can learn from an expert, as well as talk with other bloggers and moms who are going through similar life experiences.  I was really excited when I learned that Mom Corps YOU also has webinars!  When I first explored the site, the live webinars taking place were Jean Chatzky’s Women and Money and Own Your Career: The Flexibility of Freelancing.

As a mom who has re-entered the workforce, I love all the resources available at my fingertips.  On the Mom Corps YOU site, I discovered Resumes that Get Results (awesome!) and Sample Interview Question (great for practice!).   I also discovered the Mom Corps YOU discussion forums, where I could ask Mom Corps or my peers my real work-life questions.  Plus, I could share my story – possibly helping to inspire someone who was in the same work situation – or looking for my own inspiration.

Mom Corps YOU is available via an online subscription for an introductory annual price of $99.99 (regularly $149.99) or $19.99 a month.

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting (#MC) for Mom Corps YOU.  I received a free trial to facilitate my review and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

  4. This really is such a great resource! Other than my blogging and a very small photography business, I haven’t been in the workforce since 1996. It’s almost comical now!

I liked the selection of resources they had. Even the organizational ones and time management are great for people working at home!
