This summer, Frank and I had the opportunity to fly with the boys to Maui to celebrate my sister’s wedding.  While in Maui, we had the opportunity to explore the Maui Hyatt Resort.  Wow!  Talk about a gorgeous resort that has everything you would possibly need to be comfortable!

Little did I know that in January 2013, the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa had been selected as an AAA Four Diamond Resort for the 18th Consecutive Year!  The 2013 AAA Four Diamond Award is an honor that is reserved for hotels featuring the best in amenities, experiences and service.  The resort is only one of three properties to enjoy this esteemed title in Ka’anapali, and has held this designation since 1995.  Let me tell you, after walking through it, I could definitely see why.

“We are extremely honored to be selected as an AAA Four Diamond Resort for another year,” said Michael Jokovich, General Manager at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa.  “Through our extensive renovations, exquisite dining, offerings and warm service, we have continued to strive to successfully meet the standards of resort excellence.”

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is dedicated to offering the best resort experience possible, and recently completed a $21 million renovation in December 2011.  Aiming to continually perfect the quintessential Maui experience, Hyatt Regency Maui raised the bar with their detailed transformation, which included updated lobby and guestrooms, and an exciting new dining destination, Japengo – a Pacific Rim restaurant and sushi lounge, offering a culinary adventure blending exotic flavors from around the world.

The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is ideally situated on 40 tropically landscaped oceanfront acres along a three-mile stretch of the famed Ka’anapali Beach, Maui’s longest crescent beach.  The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa offers an authentic Hawaiian experience in a setting of tropical luxury.  Each of the 806 guestrooms, including 31 suites, provides a setting of Hawaiian elegance with plantation-style furnishings and a private lanai with panoramic views.

We were impressed by how many amenities were available at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort.  They included the Spa Moana (Maui’s only oceanfront, 15,000 square-foot luxury spa and fitness center), elaborate water playground with tropical streams and waterfalls, championship golf, six tennis courts, scuba and catamaran sails, four restaurants, shopping and over 100,000 square feet of function space, as well as expert-led stargazing, luau, and wildlife, art and tropical garden tours.

While the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is a beautiful destination for a Hawaiian vacation, some travelers may also be interested in exploring other activities beyond the resort. For those who enjoy spending time on the water, yacht charters in miami could provide an exciting adventure. With Miami being known for its stunning beaches and beautiful coastline, a yacht charter could allow travelers to see the city from a different perspective while enjoying the luxury and comfort of a private yacht. Additionally, with Miami being a hub for yacht charters, there are a variety of options available to suit different preferences and budgets

As we walked the resort grounds, we looked upon a variety of beautiful sculptures.   They were beautiful pieces of art scattered throughout the resort.  We couldn’t help but photographing a bunch of them.  I was in total awe of the beauty of the Maui Hyatt Resort!

I loved the Penguins and Swans in the resort and am so glad we got photos of them.  I definitely could have spent more time just watching the penguins play with one another and eat, but there was a lot of the grounds to cover.  I had never visited a resort before that had penguins, so that definitely added to the personality of the Maui Hyatt Resort.

I love to photograph nature and especially love flowers.  We found some beautiful flowers throughout the resort’s grounds.  They were so pretty!

The views from the Maui Hyatt Resort were gorgeous too!  There is even a Kayak beach, where you can take Kayak lessons or go out on outing in your own kayak.  Not to mention the option to rent jet skis, scuba equipment and snorkeling equipment.

It was fun walking the Maui Hyatt Resort Grounds.  I loved the beauty of the grounds, the friendliness of the staff, the gorgeous views from the rooms and how kid-friendly the resort was (lots of activities for the kids to do).  I hope someday we can stay there and get the full Maui Hyatt Resort experience.  A big thank you to the Maui Hyatt Resort Team for taking the time to take us on a tour of the grounds.
