During the holiday season, I love to bake.  I especially love to bake with Pillsbury® products because they are easy to prepare and taste great!  I recently had the opportunity to work with Pillsbury as a Celebrate More Ambassador and have had so much fun with the campaigns!  The holiday campaign was one of my favorites because I got to show off my baked creations to our family and friends!  Chocolate Peppermint Cookies was one of them!

Working from home full-time and caring for our 6 kids can leave me with little time to bake from scratch.  That’s where Pillsbury products come into play.  Plus, the kids love to bake with me using the boxed ingredients!

When making the Pillsbury® Chocolate Peppermint Cookies, you only need a few key ingredients.

Chocolate Peppermint Cookies

Ingredients:

– 1 package Pillsbury Chocolate Cookie Mix with Crushed Peppermint Candy,
–  1 egg
– 1/2 cup softened butter
– 1 can Pillsbury® Creamy Supreme® Peppermint Flavored Frosting

Directions:

1 – Heat your oven to 375°F and set the peppermint candy pouch to the side for topping on the cookies.

2 – Combine the cookie mix, softened butter and egg in medium bowl. Mix with spoon until soft dough is formed.  I had a hard time mixing it well with a spoon and ended up mixing it with my hands to get the consistency I wanted.

3 – Drop by rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet 2 inches apart.

4 – Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are set.

5 – Cool on the cookie sheet for 2 minutes and then transfer the cookies to a wire rack. Cool completely.

6 – Once cool, spread the Peppermint Flavored Frosting on top of the cookie.  Sprinkle the crushed peppermint candy on top.  Serve and enjoy!
